Practising for the next season of Hivechess, Lichess daily BULLET arena storm
I want to keep posting these trainings and stay active on hive to be able to get as good as possible to the next tournaments here, we already have some on Thursday and Sunday so better get training!
This time I wanted to enter one of the daily tournaments that are always held in lichess, they are the Arena type that I'm used to thanks to hivechess but here are a hundred players all fighting for the first place.
These games are in bullet mode so if you see any huge blunder, chances are one of the two players will be out of time.

In these tournaments they almost always start me off paired against someone with a low rating but don't let that fool you, these days any player over 1400 can surprise you with some impressive moves.
In the opening I came out well with a pawn advantage, then it was just a matter of technique to convert that advantage, although now that I look at it it is an uncomfortable position for the black pieces to play.

This next game was an exercise in defence on my part for most of it, I was on the edge of the abyss and losing control a couple of times but I think the experience gives you a touch of calm to see simple defensive moves and then when you find your momentum you can push on and gain an advantage.
It also helped me that my opponent sacrificed a piece without result, I was able to defend that position well and get my head out of it little by little.
white vs jambonelite
although there are also games where I was devastated from start to finish, you know that a strong opponent is coming when his rating is well above 2000 and here you can't say that I played my best game but still chess is a game of mistakes and the one who takes advantage of them is the one who takes the victory.
It's a pity because I know this Sicilian variation just fine and although I came out in the typical position of this variation I had some mistakes afterwards that condemned me.
black vs IO443
There were also other games where I completely swept away my opponent, these were the ones that propelled me to the top of the table, but I'm talking about festivals of good play on my part that gave me a lot of confidence that I'm ready to give it my all in the next tournaments!
white vs bobbysots
And to finish on a high note this is what I consider to be my best game of this series of games, I think I played the opening pretty well but what really stands out is the plan I made to trap the black king, it's a tactic I've been practising for a long time but man it feels good to see it in action!
That's the training for today! I also want to start solving problems for a change and not to be all day playing without sense, I think I need to buy a notebook to keep track of my games but we'll see about that later, thanks to the community for the support always.
Congratulations!
