Malaysian Style Lemak Rice, since 1979
Hello, friends especially foodiies!
Today i would like to share our experience eating in Ponggo, a specialist malaysian lemak rice, which was located in Old Shanghai, a culinary specialist restaurant in Sedayu City, Kelapa Gading - North Jakarta.
The restaurant had 2 glass doors that you could access it, one at the back, from the culinary area, which was located in front of a great mural. It presented a woman from ancient chinese opera. While the other door was located in front of the parking area, so this restaurant position is strategic.
The menu it sold all contained lemak rice, the coconut milk contained rice which usually had tasty flavour.
You could see their menus from their glass showing case.
This place had an awesome interior, i loved that they had old malaysian style, cozy!
This time i tried their spices fried chicken lemak rice package, my family had it too and another had the veggie lemak rice package.
For their taste:
Lemak rice - tasty in light savory, non greasy
Salted fish and peanut - crunchy in savory flavour
Spices fried chicken - one of the best, soft and had savory tasty flavour
I also enjoyed their tasty shrimp chilli paste, spicy, savory and sweet. Hmmh so yummy!
Oh yeah we also ordered their fried corn. Actually they boiled the sweet corn and served them with the crunchy tasty fried tiny things... also yummy :9! Thumbs up for this restaurant..
So wanna try lemak rice from this Ponggol restaurant too?
