Wednesday Walk in the forest of Dolno Sakhrane 🍂🌳🍁

Hello all !
Today I want to share with you a forest walk at the foot of the majestic Stara Planina. This forest area is located right next to the peaceful village of Dolno Sahrane, where once lived a grandmother who took care of me as a child.The village is located in the southern part of Bulgaria, near it is the beautiful town of Kazanlak and the forest - literally meters from grandma's house, and since I had more time this time, mom and I decided to walk around ...

We went along the so-called path, then through the field sown with alfalfa and entered a part of the area which is full of many walnut trees 🌳

We saw a herd of cows nearby and since we were with mom's dog Rexy, who is a hunting terrier and likes to chase and attack other animals according to my mom, we decided to move away so there would be no dog trouble 🤣

I really wondered what these garbage chambers were because it smelled strange and at the same time very familiar...when we got closer it turned out to be the lavender waste material thrown away apparently from the nearby distillery...it was a shame view..

We continued along a path that leads to the river, but before that we came across a place where there was a place to rest under a thick shade.

Finally we reached it - the Gabrovnitsa river, the river I remember as if it was yesterday .. as children during the summer vacation, which here in Bulgaria lasts 3 months, we used to gather and find some bigger pool in which we dived and swam .. but alas now Rexy managed to dip her paws..

The river was so dry that I felt a little sad..I know that at this time of the year the rivers are at their lowest, but I know from various people that it has nothing to do with the time when we were children.
