Mi experiencia en el regreso a clase // My back-to-school experience
Spanish
Hola, queridos Hivers.

Hello, dear Hivers.
I am here to share a little of what has been my experience in this back to school, for my children and myself.
First, I must say that we are starting a new stage, since we have been going to school and my oldest son is in 1st grade. So it's two things in one. The good thing is that they are excited to go back to school.

For me, it is still an adventure, I felt a little lost, but since they are excited, it calmed me down a little. I decided to change schools because I wanted to have the afternoon schedule for both of them and in the other school there was no such possibility.
At the new school I had a hard time getting a place for the youngest, who is in the second level of preschool. There were several trips to the school, and I went in the month of July, I thought it was more practical. After some extra help to get the place, one day they checked and saw that he was already enrolled, and that I could enroll him without any problem. Thanks to the different people who helped me.

Again, he made another visit to the school to formalize the enrollment of the two children. I had to wait a little while, since there were several people in the same situation. But I was already calm.
October arrived, I went to the school to ask when they would start and the schedule, to my surprise they told me that they still did not know, they were discussing if they would continue with the strike. I went on a Friday, they told me to come back on Monday. I go on Monday, they tell me they are still meeting, to come back on Tuesday afternoon. I go back on Tuesday, they tell me that the teachers don't want to work, to come back on Friday to find out what they have decided. I go back on Friday, around one o'clock in the afternoon, and the assistant principal tells me that they will work Monday and Tuesday. With something a little clearer, I leave.
Well, the long-awaited day arrived. Monday, October 9. We leave around 12 noon. My oldest son comes in at 12:30 pm until 5 PM. For me, that's a good schedule. Now, for the little one who is in second level preschool, he has an adaptive schedule, which is from 1 PM until 3 PM. I have to stand outside the school waiting for the preschool start time. Then I go home to wait for the time to pick up my youngest son. I go home again to wait for the time to pick up my older son. (All of these twists and turns I never imagined, really. But it is relatively normal, because they are different stages).

Saludos

One of the things that I don't like very much is that we, the representatives, cannot go to the school facilities. In other words, we don't know the teachers well either. But well, we are in the process of adaptation. We have to let the course go on and see how it turns out. At the moment I think that it is not the school I was told it was. I was told that this school is one of the best, they are strict, etc.
I hope that everything improves and that it is a good education that they give the children. Thanks for sticking around to watch and read. Regards
