Concurso TBT: Mi último viaje a la playa / TBT Contest: My last trip to the beach

Han pasado años desde mi última visita a la playa, tengo un recuerdo tan vívido de aquel día que parece haber sido ayer, quizás sea porque en general tengo muy buena memoria, pero también porque lo pasé excepcionalmente bien.

It's been years since my last visit to the beach, I have such a vivid memory of that day that seems like it was yesterday, maybe it's because I generally have a very good memory, but also because I had an exceptionally good time.

No suelo ser muy viajero y esas casi cinco horas de carretera me resultan agotadoras, así que nuestros planes de playa suelen aplazarse hasta quedar en el olvido, sin embargo, esa vez fue diferente.

I'm not usually a big traveler and those almost five hours on the road are exhausting for me, so our beach plans are usually postponed until they are forgotten, however, this time was different.

Nos habíamos mudado recientemente y, a pesar de los altibajos del año, logramos organizar ese viaje, era la segunda vez que viajaba con mi novia y recuerdo que ella estaba muy emocionada. La verdad es que disfruté mucho de ese viaje, veníamos de unas fechas con muchos altibajos y ese viaje fue como un reinicio en nuestras vidas, cualquier experiencia positiva era bienvenida en aquel momento.

We had recently moved and, despite the ups and downs of the year, we managed to organize that trip, it was the second time I traveled with my girlfriend and I remember that she was very excited. The truth is that I really enjoyed that trip, we came from a time with many ups and downs and that trip was like a restart in our lives, any positive experience was welcome at that time.

Aunque parezca contradictorio, disfruto del trayecto a la playa, se atraviesa una zona boscosa y montañosa que me parece muy bonita, el camino se vuelve cada vez más solitario, la señal desaparece y los pueblos se quedan atrás. Es como adentrarse en otro mundo y cuando crees que te has perdido, aparece el mar en el horizonte.

Although it may seem contradictory, I enjoy the journey to the beach, you cross a forested and mountainous area that I find very beautiful, the road becomes increasingly lonely, the sign disappears and the towns are left behind. It's like entering another world and when you think you're lost, the sea appears on the horizon.

Ese contraste entre la inmensidad del bosque y la vastedad del mar siempre me ha fascinado. Tengo una memoria tan buena que todavía recuerdo las rutas que tomábamos, cada curva, cada pequeño pueblo que dejábamos atrás, esa última vez dimos un pequeño paseo turístico, tomamos algunas fotos y luego instalamos nuestro campamento.

That contrast between the immensity of the forest and the vastness of the sea has always fascinated me. I have such a good memory that I still remember the routes we took, every curve, every small town we left behind, that last time we went for a little sightseeing walk, took some photos and then set up camp.

Recuerdo la sensación de la arena entre mis dedos, el sonido de las olas rompiendo en la orilla y el olor a salitre que impregnaba todo, sin duda alguna estábamos listos para un día de sol, arena y mar.

I remember the feeling of the sand between my fingers, the sound of the waves breaking on the shore and the smell of salt that permeated everything, without a doubt we were ready for a day of sun, sand and sea.
