STEALING FUEL IN THIS ECONOMY!! HOW WICKED?
To be honest this is not the type of economy that we humans should be wicked to our fellow humans, the cost of fuel in Nigeria is about N617 per liter, and just some few days ago I read in the news how fuel is likely to increase to N900, and now what most people do is connect their gas cylinder to their generator just to save cost, it’s really crazy out here!
Some days ago precisely on sunday, something really crazy happened, we came back from church, we ate lunch and we decided to have a break and sit in parlor and just have a family moment, we had a family friend that came to visit also and we were all catching cruise, talking and laughing, then one thing lead to another and we started talking about how the fuel subsidy has done more harm than good, the price of fuel is really something else and even the people that boasted that money was not their problem now turn of their generator before midnight😂.
While we were discussing and laughing, we heard a loud bang on our gate, so I stood up to look if the person knocking on the gate was for us although we weren’t really expecting anyone else, just then the gate opened and a boy in his teenage era entered with an Aboki bike man, the bike man was carrying a 25 litres gallon of fuel, they were just standing and looking around, then our landlord came and was questioning the boy, he asked them who they were looking for, the boy answered and said that they were looking for a man who wore a carton color “jalabiya”.
Our landlord told the boy that no one with jalabiya stays or even entered the compound, the boy started looking worried, and the story seemed interesting, we all went outside and started questioning the boy further, according to the boy he said “ A man came to where they sell fuel in form of black market, the man told him to carry a 25litres gallon of fuel and follow him to where he stays so that he can give him the money, they stopped a bikeman and drove down to our area and they watched the man enter into our compound, before entering he told them to go back and bring another 25litres of fuel and also collected N500 from the bikeman.
So they foolishly left without knowing the exact flat he went to or even confirmed if he was actually staying in the compound, by the time they left and came back with another gallon of fuel they couldn’t find the man again, apparently the man had boarded another bike with the money he collected from the bikeman, when the boy realized that he has been scammed he immediately put the his hands on his head and started crying and wailing, he was already imagining the kind of beating his mother would give him when he gets home, and also we had to change the key lock of the gate, because we were all wondering how a stranger got into the compound without anybody’s notice!
