MY NAME MY IDENTITY

Names are very important for everyone, and sometimes our names and meanings work for us or even against us too, thats why it’s important to be called a good name, before a name is being given to a child, the name should be crossed checked to make sure it doesn’t have a bad meaning, because name’s actually do really work, I have come across people who their names peace but they are really stubborn..Lol. As a parent or soon to be parent, we shouldn’t just give names because the child might grow up to hate the name, just like the way cousin hated his tribal name which means “He shouldn’t get suffering” when he became a man he immediately changed the name to a better one PERE which means “wealth”.

My name is a biblical and a popular name, DEBORAH which is an Hebrew name which means BEE, this has been my identity, I have never taught of changing it because I love the name, I mean, a prophetess in the bible was the first to bear such beautiful and powerful name, and when we talk about BEE.. the next thing that comes to our mind is honey, a very sweet substance. This name was given to me by my late Dad, more reason I cherish this name with all my heart and I don’t ever think that I want to change, everybody already knows me by this name,

My second name which is my tribal was given to me by mum, TAMARAETUEMI an Ijaw name to be precise, this name means that God is by my side I hold this name dearly too because the meaning has been working wonders for my life literally, this name isn’t really common among my tribe, because in my entire family we are just two bearing it and thats even from my fathers side, and none from mums. Unlike other names that popular, Honestly with this name I believe that I’m a special child because, that wasn’t the name my mother had in mind when she was pregnant with me, According to her she said “One evening she was in the bathroom when she heard a voice saying to her to call the baby in her womb this particular name” and that was how the name was given to me by mum.

Among all my seven siblings that my mum gave birth to, I was the only one who was given birth to by a midwife in the house and in my mother’s room, and the only child whose pregnancy took longer, while others were exactly nine months, when my mother was pregnant with me, she said she was being attacked spiritually so many times, exactly why I said the name has been working for me even before I was born.
And when I also had that very terrible accident and was rejected by two hospitals and lost alot of tissues but I still survived, then it dawned on me the exact reason why I was being given that name, God was and is definitely by my side.
