The 1st of January of every year, also known as New Year's Day is a significant and notable day that is widely celebrated across the world. It marks the beginning of a new calender year and more deeply the start of a new beginning in the lives of people in relation to their spirituality, financial life and all other area of interest.

The New Year is also a symbol of leaving behind in the past year all the things that have been halting your progress and embracing the future. In other words, it is a sign of renewal and restrategizing. As a year is coming to an end some individuals or even business tend to look back at the year to identify their strengths and weakenss so as to know how to be a better person or entity in the New Year. They use the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and create a better experience in the future.

All over the world, in major cities the transition into the new year is characterized with countdowns and fireworks sparkling in the air. Some other people also prefer to start their new year in their religious place of worship ushering in the start of the year with songs and prayers. The start of the New Year will be incomplete without either the exhibitions of either cultural or religious formalities. For instance, some churches will start fasting and prayer to put all their activities of the year in God's hands, asking for protection and guidance all throughout out the year (it lasts for up to 21 days in some churches).

It is also important to note that the New Year celebrations just like every other celebrations foster togetherness amongst the people of a community. Whether through Carnivals, reunion (family, schools, groups or corporate). During this period people come around to celebrate with each other thereby promoting oneness and togetherness. It is a tradition for some people to travel at the end of every year to visit their family members, alma maters, the community where they grow up and lots more to celebrate the season.

More profoundly, it is important to note that the experience of celebrating the Year is marked in almost all the countries in the world, if not all. Last night i witnessed the anticipation of counting down to midnight in some cities around the world such as London, Dubai and Paris. It was a beautiful event to behold - in short, it was a festival. As the transition into the New Year was complete there were beautiful fireworks in the air with sounds of people cheering and congratulating each other.

To cap it all, I wish everyone reading this a prosper New Year. In order to get the best out of the year, it is important to restrategize, rebrand, refocus, rearrange an so on. You can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. Let the new year begin with a lot of positivity.
