dCrops Update: Quest Reward Scaling, Booster Shop, and dCrops on Keychain Mobile App

dCrops is a farming simulation game on Hive. It is a play-to-earn game where you can earn CROP tokens by playing the game. Read our announcement to learn more.

Quests were introduced as another way of rewarding the players of dCrops in addition to the season CROP earning by selling crops and the daily holding rewards in Hive.

Since their introduction, there have been quite a few changes to quests as follows:

  • The total number of quests needed to complete to earn a reward chest was reduced from 10 to 7.
  • The maximum number of seeds you need to plant per quest has been reduced from 5 to 4.
  • The max number of crops you need to sell per quest has been reduced from 5 to 3.

The boosters items which were not implemented with the quest launch are fully functional now.

Quest Reward Scaling

Quest rewards from this season onwards will now be scaled up based on CROP Power.

Every reward chest will have a base of 10 items and you can get upto a total of 40 more bonus items based on your CROP Power as follows:

For 0-100k Crop Power, every 10k CP will add 1 card to your reward chest.
For 100k-500k CP, every 20k CP will add 1 card to your reward chest.
For 500k-1M CP, every 50k CP will add 1 card to your reward chest.

Which means, if you have a total CP of 1M or more you will get 10(BASE)+40(BONUS) = 50 Reward Items.

Note: This bonus is capped at 1M CROP Power.

Booster Shop

You can now also purchase more boosters from the shop by spending CROP tokens. You must have CROP tokens on your in-game account to be able to buy boosters.

dCrops on Keychain Mobile App

Lastly, dCrops is now playable on the keychain mobile app which you can download from www.hive-keychain.com. It has also been added to the games section on the app. Thanks to @stoodkev for the help in getting this done.

They will be put into the dcrops treasury which will be used up when minting nfts and maybe later in rewarding players in some other way. It will basically take them out of circulation.
