Lightpainting at the beach part 5 (Lightpainting on Hive)

Hi folks,

After a 2 months period of rehab, I was officially back into light lightpainting two weeks ago. Luckily, the sun and the heat were back too 😀

Last thursday, I drove to La Turballe to meet Mathilde after my work day. She's a local pole dancer. I arrived on perfect time for the sunset again, with cold craft beers again 😄 And we took time to kick back and relax before the night came too.

During the first session, I showed Mathilde how lightpainting works. That time, we went a little bit further as she explored camera rotation by herself. Like the first time, she was still completely amazed by the endless possibilities of lightpainting and the skills you need to develop to be able to do what's on your mind.

I made this picture using my gimbal head to make my camera rotate on its axis, lights of the city at the background and a blockhaus who was close to us on the beach.

No layers /no Photoshop / no editing except minor adjustments (lens correction profite, WB, contrast (+12)) and addition of my logo.

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?
Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
