Concurso día de Muertos 2023 / Gracias abuelo 💜 [Esp/Eng]

Algo que me gusta de la cultura mexicana y admiro es como ven la muerte, es algo bien bonito y mágico.
Hoy quiero hablarles de mi abuelito paterno Alfredo Castaño o como le decían en el pueblo Papito Cielo el cual me trajo muchas alegrías en mi etapa de niño a adolescente.

Los Diciembres cuando el vivía, recuerdo que mis padres nos llevaban a pasarlos allí. Lo bueno es que todos mis primos y tíos llegaban a reunirse a la casa del abuelo , donde hacíamos muchas actividades en familia.

Desgraciadamente el murió hace 20 años y esa tradición de reunirnos se perdió, cada quien ahora esta por su lado y la única forma de encontrarnos es cuando la muerte toque la puerta de algún familiar.

Algo que me contaba mi Papito Cielo es que se gano 2 casas en el pueblo a punto de cartas; las cartas con las que jugaba es el Naipe español, de los cuales poseo uno y se jugar en memoria a el ( en ocasiones juego con mi pareja ).

Cuando yo iba de visita, jugábamos cartas con él apostando monedas. No era porque ganara sino por acompañarlo a él.Aquí fue donde desperté el gusto por los juegos de cartas.

Curiosamente yo pude vivir un 1 año en esa casa En Guarne (COLOMBIA) y ahora mi Padre es el dueño de ella por herencia. Hace poco mi Padre me contó que a veces allí se aparecía una viejita y caminaba por la casa, y que tenia la sensación de que el abuelo se sentaba allí en le mirador de la casa ya que era algo que disfrutaba hacer , porque de allí se observaba todo el pueblo.

Considero que la muerte es solo un paso y desde que recordemos a nuestros seres queridos ellos no desaparecerán de nuestras vidas y del universo.

Something I like about Mexican culture and admire is how they see death as something beautiful.
Today I want to talk to you about my paternal grandfather Alfredo Castaño or as he was called in town Papito Cielo who brought me a lot of joy in my childhood to teenage years.
When he was alive in December, I remember that my parents took us to spend them there. The good thing is that all my cousins and uncles would come to meet at Grandpa's house, where we did many family activities.

Unfortunately he died 20 years ago and that tradition of getting together was lost, everyone is now on their own and the only way to meet is when death knocks on the door of a family member.

Something that my Papito Cielo told me is that he won 2 houses in town playing cards; the cards he played with were the Spanish Naipe, of which I own one and I know how to play in memory of him (sometimes I play with my partner).
When I went there we played cards with him, betting coins. It was not because I won but to accompany him.

Curiously I was able to live one year in that house in Guarne (COLOMBIA) and now my father is the owner of it by inheritance. Recently my father told me that sometimes an old lady would appear there and walk through the house, and that he had the feeling that grandfather would sit there on the veranda of the house because it was something he enjoyed doing, because from there he could see the whole town.

I believe that death is just a step and as long as we remember our loved ones they will not disappear from our lives and the universe.
