My Actifit RC: Jan 10th 23 - I Am Alive Challenge - A green tour in the heart of Naples - IAAC #254

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

The day after the storm welcomes us with a sky tinted by coloring shades of blue. I woke up very early and the air was ideal to get on the road to Naples.

Since the Global warming is already giving us spring day what better way to spend time than walking in nature and stay in one of the most spectacular and ingenious oasis of greenery that provides us the city.

The goal of this morning is the Real Botanical Garden green jewel of the city where 25,000 specimens of 9000 species of different plants are preserved, some of which are endangered. The park is divided into two wings that spread over 120,000 square meters.

The botanical garden dates back to the time of the French Revolution when Giuseppe Bonaparte expropriated some land of the church to create the educational agricultural structure.

When I entered the park I chose the second wing to begin my journey inside the wood made of secular plants of North American origin.
Some magpies followed my walk intrigued by my wandering with my phone in hand ready to immortalize the beauty of nature.

When I got to the top I entered a castle-shaped building where some laboratories and the museum of paleobotany and ethnobotany are housed. This is a building dating back to the 16th century that was later incorporated into the botanical garden.

Outside the castle I slipped into the citrus orchard where they were picking the cedars. In fact they were already ready to be collected and transported.

My journey continued in the sensory chrome garden where the most colorful and fragrant species are collected to delight the senses of visitors and to teach the properties of the various plants to students of agricultural schools.

Since this stage put me in a good mood and #alive it’s time to celebrate stage number 254 of my #iamalivechallenge. Today I am grateful to myself for having chosen this extraordinary forest to spend my time.

My last stop, before my escape because of the worsening weather conditions, was in the area of succulents. This is definitely to be revisited in the flowering period of succulents or in summer. Some of these flowers are really spectacular.

Not even time to return home that I had to go to my sister where I spent my afternoon before returning after 27k of steps. Well I’m getting back on track for the next #macfit adventure since the new season of the tennis organized by @Merthin is almost next.
