New job new routine

I am NOT the type of person who likes to change job very often. I did tried a few times to be my own boss, thinking if I could make it as an entrepreneur, and I can say good bye to my employee life. Unfortunately, things didn't play out as i wished for, so I'm back to employment mode.

During my work life record, I've always trying to commit to one job for as long as possible. My first insurance job lasted 4 years from 2010 until 2014. My 2nd insurance job from 2014 lasted until 2023. 9 years is long enough for me to prove myself. In 2023 I've got a job offer, since the pay was better, I've took the bait and became one of the victim of corporate "do more for less" policy. You can see my post count dropped drastically over the past 1 year as i don't even has the time to pee.

I think I'm fortunate enough to get out of the "problem" when my colleague invited me to join a different company despite I've only been with the "new" company for 1 year, and now i had to switch to another. After some serious thought, finally I've put down my commitment to make the change, and so here i am. My email count drastically dropped from daily 200-300 mail, to now less than 10. I even have the time to sit down for a good Poori at the shop opposite of our new office.

I'm spending more time building business, rather than sitting in the office trying to defend the company from losing business. Often scheduled meeting with business partners involved the dining table. A good old bananleaf rice set is a blessing as i eat a lot of meat.

I didn't even realize after joining this company, the amount of mileage i clocked the car is tremendous. I heard squicking sound from the back, i have already suspecting the brake pad is running thin, lo and behold the metal clip is already touching the disc surface. Spent a small fortune and got it replaced.

Traffic over this side of the town is so much worst than the one i used to, but who am i kidding. I took this job because i wanted to get out from the 9 - 9 desk job, and who am i blaming? Fortunately the car has a decent in car entertainment console i can enjoy some music whilst waiting the traffic to move.

Even Starbuck is crazier at this side of the town. For once i forgot to inform i do not qant the "reserve" coffee, which will cost almost double the price of a normal coffee and here's the proof. RM28. Luckily i have my 50% discount voucher. Even that, i felt rather painful having to pay 15 bucks for a cup of coffee.

If you notice there's a sleeve on the Starbucks cup, which means this is "reserved". The tag line is different bean, imported, roasted in Seattle. Frankly, how would i know if its not roasted by the chicken hut next door?

Not sure if its due to year end, or this is a norm. Company is having an event, inviting all staff to go for a movie and omakase. Frankly, this is the first time i was invited by the company to attend event like this. Took place at the new mall TRX(Tun Razak eXchange). If you remember one of the most famous Malaysia Political scandal, then yes the name similar because this mall was built with his father's name.

Event is at the Hokkaido Table event hall. But of course we are talking about catered food rather than omakase. Despite not omakase, we're still frateful and impressed by the company willing to sspend such top dollars for staff. Oh wait. American company, its probably small dollar but top Ringgit 🤣

The movie we're watching is Wicked. I was not exactly sure what i got myself into, hence signing up dor this event was a huge risk of spending couple of hours with a movie i so not necessarily appreciate. Oh and i have removed one photo that i was about to show off each attendees are entitled for a lucky draw. I saw someone got themselves mobile fan, portable Bluetooth speakers, and i myself a RM100 cash voucher.

Food is quite tasty, but then again this is catered food. We just cant expect it to be omakase. I took a second round to eat a lot more salmon to make up the time i am about to spent in a company event 🤣

This is my first experience woth IMAX, totally huge twin sharing couch. Coke and popcorn are ready for my consumption, at least if the show is boring, i can still entertain myself with the drink and the popcorn🍿 .

By the time the show starts, my eyes are already half shut. The show was alright, not a Bollywood guy, therefore musical kinda movie does dozed me off a couple of times. I'm pretty sure its very short timez because as soon as I'm awake, i can tell what happened to the show compare to before my sleep 🤣

On an absolute ridiculous unrelated memes, this was sent in by my friend during the movie. I felt like i need to give the guys a small gag about the context of that meme. The caption stated, "Just went through the circumcision surgery and here comes my room mate".
