As we were walking around Banff Avenue, Alberta, enjoying the food, scenery, and sunshine, low and behold, I come across this beautiful flower. It struck me as the Prettiest flower I had ever seen! What is it called you might ask? Again, I will need to defer this question to @dswigle (I have no idea what it's name is). It is now my new phone wallpaper. By the way, I have created a new photography community called: Colour / Black & White. Created for those that love both photo versions. Also, I will be curating all qualifying posts. Join now!

I found this fine pair near the hiking trailhead for Vista Lake, Kootenay Park, British Columbia. I have some photos of Vista Lake to share at another time in the near future.

You gave me an easy one tonight! Those are African Daisies! Aren't they just popping with color?

The other one is the Indian Paintbrush, although some may call it by its scientific name which escapes me.

Great shots! I favor the African Violet!

I could show you more top favorites. :) However, I have to agree with you, they make a sweet shot!

Such marvelous hues and color. God's magnificent artistry. Perhaps it is a hybrid of several flowers. Thanks.

The redness on that flower is absolutely amazing, I can see some little spikes here and there on it, but it's really vivid and colorful just like you've mentioned. Wow. The lens has done a great justice to this. It's worth it for having it as your wallpaper.
