Misty Mountain Stop

IMG_20230926_144844_Original.jpeg

So I’m thinking to myself, what would be a good title for this post? Well here is one misty mountain. So why not call it “Misty Mountain Hop” like that Led Zeppelin song from IV. Hmmm, but where is the hop? No hop, but I did “stop” to take the picture! Misty Mountain Stop it is. Thanks Led Zeppelin. These photos were taken on my way back from the “doomed” Eiffel Lake hike, in which I got caught in a mini snow storm. Luckily the snow was flying only at higher elevations, so this portion was not too bad, and got much clearer as I made my way back to the starting point. The trailhead is located just off the Moraine Lake, lakeside trail. I was able to get a pretty decent shot of Moraine Lake from up here. Thanks for hopping along on this hike.

I’ll have to listen to that Led Zeppelin’s song now! Lol! I love the pictures and I’m one of those who always make the comparison between colorful and monochromatic pictures, because I find both beautiful in a very particular way.

I find this landscape more loyal to its nature with real colors, but black and white offers a sense of power.

Thanks a lot for sharing! Nice shots!

It's indeed a memorable hike and it was worth it, hiking with you. Now I have been to Eiffel Lake, Moraine Lake, the mini snow storm was not bad either and the shots you took up there keeps reminding me of the harmony in Nature.

@daveks
I think inside your post title number day of your visit should be included. Anyway water of lake really is blue or is it due to photography feature. Looks so impressive and gorgeous.

The lake is actually this blue/turquoise. If you google photos from moraine lake, you will see.

That Led Zeppelin song is ideal for a title, They match very well with the photos you have taken. I haven't listened to Led Zeppelin in a long time, by the way, I should play a couple of songs to start the week off right. Wonderful shots @daveks friend, as usual :)

Very beautiful environment. Especially the plain mountain behind the trees which is surrounded by mist is really amazing to see.
