Canadian Rockies Paintings

IMG_20230927_114744_Original.jpeg

Some more highway forty photography, coming your way, from the heart of Kananaskis country, Alberta. When looking over these photos, I thought to myself, they sort of look like paintings almost. As the clarity in parts of the photos look sort of brushed over or painted (and even a smidgen blurry). Perhaps it is how the Huawei renders pixels in certain situations, compared to the Samsung, it is different for sure (not to mention, the moving phone itself likely played into it too..obviously). The mountain in the backdrop is Highwood Ridge, at least to the best of my knowledge. According to google maps, it must be. But if I’m wrong, I will be gladly corrected. An incredibly uniquely shaped mountain ridge wouldn’t you say! This is my first time in the area, so am really looking forward to hiking Ptarmigan cirque, which is just around the corner.

These are very nice shots dear @daveks. You also have to give credit to the photographer.

Like all art photography also radiates magic. And it demands a very good preparation and at least modest equipment.

Thank you very much for sharing your original images!

I send you fraternal greetings!

It definitely does look like painting and I wonder if a painter ever pulled over and painted there before, awesome work my friend.

I would bet that a few painters have ventured to give it a go. Thanks @shoemanchu.

Yea, you are right!, The scenery before me is like a painting on canvas, with deft, colourful strokes here and there and over there, the tall pines along the Roadside just completes the outfit. You take very nice shots.

Such a stunning place! I always feel tempted to park the car along the road and look on maps.me to see if there is a hiking trail. Would be pretty awesome if there would be

@daveks
Much appreciateable and awesome shoots of highway along with hikes. I think now you have set your journey on highways instead of enjoying the peak points of hikes .

Haha, just have some highway photos to get out of the way first, before we dive back into the hikes. Can’t let them go to waste!

The more photographs of Highway Forty, on the way, from the heart of Kananaskis country, Alberta, are very beautiful, as always dear @daveks . Those places you have taken are pure beauty, it really pleases me to observe them. I congratulate you and thank you very much for your visits to my publications. Successes.

That is an interesting mountain. It looks like something pushed up the middle geologically a long time ago. Very cool.

That is one beautiful drive. I envy you!
