Hidden From The World

In the year 2090, a group of explorers set sail on a journey to discover uncharted lands. They had heard rumours of an island that had been isolated from the rest of the world for centuries, and they were determined to be the first to lay eyes on it. Their leader Captain Kirk has lived most of his life at sea and has gotten attached to his ship. It's all he had left in the world since his wife died from cancer 15 years ago. He had a rough life at the peak of his career. Losing his only son and a finger in the process of trying to save him while they voyage the sea together. It was a heavy storm that knocked their ship off balance as they were against the wave. This story he never talks about. The rest of his life was an obsession with uncharted islands. After weeks at sea, his crew finally spotted land on the horizon. "Captain" "Captain" we found it. Captain Kirk couldn't find anything on the radar but the moment he used his binoculars he was marvelled. As they approached the island, they could see that it was unlike any place they had ever seen before.
The island was a lush paradise, teeming with life. Everywhere they looked, there were exotic plants and animals that they had never seen before. They soon discovered that many of the creatures on the island were believed to be extinct, but were still thriving here. The explorers were awestruck by the beauty and diversity of the island.
As they explored further, they came across a civilization that had been living on the island for centuries. The islanders welcomed the explorers with open arms, and they were amazed by the islanders' way of life. The Island's Chief Degerli a decent of Minisiko, was the first leader of this civilization. They had developed a unique culture and society, with their language and customs. The islanders were peaceful people, and they lived in harmony with the land and its creatures.
The explorers soon learned that the islanders had a powerful relic known as the relic of Minikiso. The relic had protected the island from the outside world for centuries, and it was a sacred object to the islanders. However, the relic had recently been stolen by an uprising sect within the island's civilization known as the Founding Order. The Founding Order wore masks to hide their identity.
The Founding Order was a group of islanders who were discontent with their isolated way of life. They had grown tired of living in the past and wanted to embrace the modern world. They believed that the relic of Minikiso was holding them back, and they were willing to do anything to get their hands on it.
With the discovery of the island, word quickly spread to the outside world. The world powers and wealthy individuals saw the island as a treasure trove of valuable resources, including the extinct creatures that still thrived there. They began to scheme how to take over the island and exploit its resources.
With the information about the island now being discovered, invaders made their way to the island. The Founding Order teamed up with them by promising to deliver the relic of Minikiso to them if they helped them take over the island.
The Island's Chief, Degerl asked for the help of Captain Kirk over dinner as they ate around the bonfire. They shared their stories and Kirk could understand the significance of the island to its inhabitants. Since he lost his wife and only son he couldn't imagine living in a world where his ship would be taken away from him. Both men had something in common as they had an attachment to something dear to their hearts.
The islanders, led by their leader and Captain Kirk and his team, fought back against the invaders in a brutal attack. They knew that their way of life and the relics were at stake. They were determined to protect their home and their people. The battle was fierce but the only hope they had was to retrieve the relic. Together, they were able to recover the relic of Minikiso from the Order.
With the relic back in their possession, the islanders were able to shield their island from the outside world once again. The invaders were driven out, and the islanders were able to maintain their autonomy. The Founding Order was exiled, and the islanders were finally at peace.
The island was never seen or heard from again, but the legend of the island and its powerful relic lived on. The explorers who discovered the island spread the word of the island's existence and the bravery of its inhabitants. The world powers and wealthy individuals who had wanted to exploit the island were ashamed of their actions, and they never made another attempt to take over the island. The island and its people remained a mystery, a hidden paradise, protected by the relic of Minikiso, a symbol of the islanders' determination to protect their way of life and their home.
Captain Kirk had a good intentions towards the Islanders by standing by them to fought back what belongs to them, he could understand how it hurts to loose something dearly to our heart.
Minikiso is a brave leader that is never afraid of the outside world, it was better to live in peace and stopped Invaders from causing him troubles.
You're spot on. The leader though is Degerl who is a descendant of Minikiso. 😅
It can be a bit confusing. Thank you for reading 😁
Oh yeah,! It can be but an interesting article.
Hello @dante31,
You have given us an epic tale. There is the vision of the island, then the extinct animals and mysterious culture. There is the clash between modernity and the past. The is the struggle between invaders and those who live on the island. Your characterization of Kirk is good, especially the way he relates his loss to the loss the islanders would suffer.
This story fits very well in this week's prompt, which is 'vision'. The sighting of the island from sea certainly is appropriate. You are welcome to link to the post so we may include your story in the weekly review.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It is a most enjoyable read. We appreciate that you engage with other authors in the community.
Thank you.
I'll put the link to the post. 🙏🏾
Amazing. Finding someone or other people who could understand how you feel about a particular situation as well as connecting with them is a blessing.
It's great that Captain Kirk could connect with the Islanders over the lost of something dear to them and together they restored peace to their island.
Beautiful 😍. Thanks for sharing.
