Did you know that there are coins shaped like stamps? there are paper bills that is clear but that they be handled in the form of stamps? Well, the answer is yes, or at least in part, there are companies that over time have used different ways to attract the attention of the buyer, giving them even chances of obtaining something extra that they might or might not expect (for example, gifts in a magazine, in cereals, chocolates etc) in the case of the reader digest I use a way to obtain their own magazines through these paper coins

I understand that from time to time small sheets arrived in certain numbers not so often, obviously where these types of stamps came from and you exchanged these same ones in stores where the readers digest magazines were

in venezuela the reader digest was called SELECCIONES and it was a well-known magazine until the 90s my father had many, this coin was not his but was part of a philately collection that he negotiated in 2020 and this was there

the point is can it be considered as a currency or as a sale ticket? Well, the discount ticket is that it gives a % in the purchase of a product in the case of this rider digest currency you went directly to buy, I do not remember the price of the magazines but anyway for this they were used

And yes, it is not the first paper currency that exists, since in Spain during the civil war there were revolutionary coins made of cardboard and many times they had a seal or stamp with some value, but at least I know that some in this community did not know of this so it is not too much to know of information in case they get to see these pieces

I hope you like and serve this post of information on #hive, soon much more of my collection, I wish you all a good day

When I was a kid, the grocery store gave out green stamps. We pasted them in a book. And when the book was full, there was a store that you could use the stamps to buy anything in the store. It was lots of fun.

if this type of currency, as they say, should not be confused with coupons or tickets to obtain discounts on purchases, in this case it is used as currency but only to obtain a specific object, in this case a copy of the readers digest
