The beauty of the Balkan Mountains Bulgaria

Balkan Mountains (in Antiquity: Hemos or Hemus
Balkan), is a mountain range on the Balkan Peninsula, on the territory of Bulgaria (mostly) and Serbia.
Most of it is located on the territory of Bulgaria, situated along the length of the country, conditionally dividing it into North and South Bulgaria.
Its highest point is Mount Botev (2375.9 m).

Due to its characteristic features and certain specific features in its composition and structure, the Balkan Mountains are subdivided into three divisions - the Western Balkan Mountains, the Middle Balkan Mountains and the Eastern Balkan Mountains.

Many nature parks, protected areas and one national park are located in its area. It is among the largest centres of endemic and landform species.
There are 81 lodges built in it. Due to the established facilities, clean air and high mountain character, the Balkan Mountains are often a preferred destination for tourism and recreation
