A time for love 💓💞💝

If you aren't already aware, @flowerbaby is my girl. We have spent close to two years spending loads of time together and making countless memories. You can scroll through her blog and find pretty much an endless supply of all the cool things we have done together.

Round 2 of Valentine's Day celebrations was upon us here in 2022 and I had to do something special for my spoiled baby. We drove down to Huntington which is a little less than an hour from us here in Charleston. We had 5:30 pm reservations at a locally owned and authentic Italian restaurant called La Familiiga. Neither of us had been to this place to eat before and we were both excited to see what it was like. Before that, we had to hit Ritter Park to capture some lovely photos of us both dressed our absolute best.

Let's start off by showing off how beautiful this girl was looking and how fancy we both were feeling:

^{I am still just as obsessed with this suit jacket as I was when I got it last fall. This was only the second time I ever had the chance to wear it.}

^{This was so close to being the best photo of us together ever, but then @flowerbaby looked at some of the people watching us take photos with my tripod. She was more focused on them than the camera.}

After the photos, we drove a few minutes to the restaurant. It was located behind my old Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Marshall University. I have so many crazy memories of that place. Before heading inside, I insisted on getting a few photographs of my girl's shoes. If you notice, her toes match her dress.

La Famiglia is inside of a regular old house on the aged brick streets of Huntington. Each room of the house is filled with dinner tables and it was a really cool atmosphere. It was fancier than most places but wasn't the most extravagant place in town. This fits our tastes as we like to enjoy nice things, but don't like to waste money overdoing stuff to the max. We shared our room with another couple upstairs in a quaint little room.

You can get a better idea of how this place was laid out by these next photos. I checked out one of the bathrooms and it was well decorated. Then I captured a few more photos of my lady in the upstairs hallway while there was nobody around.

I imagine that this place is even better when the weather is warm. Their outdoor dining area looked pretty awesome. You can tell that the people who own this business are serious about creating an experience unlike anything else around town. We were both pleased with our meal and left happily in love just like we arrived, except now we had full bellies.

I am tremendously lucky to have somebody to spend my time with like this. @flowerbaby is not only my loyal girlfriend but also my best friend. She is by far the person that I spend the most time with and I am so happy that we have each other. I encourage you to go back in time and see what a year's difference has made for us. One thing is for certain, we are still together and I still love @flowerbaby.
