[ESP/ENG] CONTEST #136: I remember my preschool graduation like it was yesterday. I have fond memories of that day!

Hola Chicas!!!

¡Saludos y Bendiciones!

Hello Girls!!! Greetings from me with much love to all the beautiful, brave and strong women who make up this important community as it is #ladiesofhive. Today from the hand of our developer and creator of the questions of the week @sagarkothari88 I want to start my participation to CONTEST #136 and leave my answer that was very emotional for me and I know it was for all of you. I don't want to start without inviting my beautiful friend @taniagonzalez to participate and leave us an excellent post of which we are used to read from her.

Now, let's get started!

1️⃣ Memories are a wonderful thing! They help us stay close to family and friends when distance is a barrier. The question is: What is the youngest memory you have, what was the memory and how old were you at the time?

The memory that I have etched in my memory and even though it has been more than 23 years since then, was my graduation from preschool. When I was promoted from 3rd grade of preschool to 1st grade of elementary school, it is a nice memory because I loved that school and I loved playing with all my friends.

And since I didn't know what was coming next (in the first grade I was starting my more formal studies) I was happy and excited to start a new school year and even more so with my old friends because we were all promoted to the same elementary school.

I remember the graduation ceremony as if it were yesterday and I think it is also so fresh in my memory because I treasure it with great affection and it was because my teacher Miss Melba was a loving person, she was one of those teachers who had the word VOCATION almost tattooed on her skin, it was part of her DNA and she was excellent with the children. As a human being she was warm and maternal, I never felt strange or bad in the classroom. She taught us all to love and above all to respect each other and we formed a very nice group.

The day of the graduation ceremony we were asked to wear our 1st grade uniform and I felt strange, because I was used to my yellow shirt, blue overalls and rubber shoes. I didn't understand at that moment why so much formality, if in my head I just wanted to go play with my teacher and friends.

When I witnessed and participated in my act, they gave me my medal and my mother said to me: Ready, my daughter, you are going to first grade, now say goodbye to your teacher Melba.

I remember crying a lot and hugging my beloved teacher tightly, because I did not want to leave, but she again very kindly and with beautiful warmth explained to me what was happening, what was going to happen from now on and that I would always be in her heart accompanying her as well as she would be in mine. It was beautiful and unique that moment I remember it with so much love that to this day and with 31 years old I talk to my mother about that day and I give her details that even she does not remember jejeje.

Definitely the memories are the sighs that life gives us to memorize those moments and treasure them in our heart, now that I am a mother I am currently organizing the graduation of my oldest daughter Camila who will be promoted from preschool to 1st grade of elementary education and I want it to be for her as emotional and beautiful as it was for me and that it remains engraved in her mind and heart such a beautiful moment.

Thank you infinite for reaching this point of my post and join me in reading, see you in a future publication.

Greetings and Blessings!

Oh, I can imagine your surprise and reaction when you had to say goodbye to Melba. I also remember my preschool days and the beginning of the school, when I was a bit lost. This is a nice challenge, I was also leafing through my old photo albums these days and remembered childhood.

It is the best when the teacher you have is as you describe Ms. Melba! I had a couple of teachers like that growing up as well, and I am better for it.

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!🤗💜

Such innocent times of our lives, saying goodbye to our teachers brought us pain. Your teacher is a very kind and loving lady.
