Stop comparing yourself to others. || Deja de compararte con los demás.

When we make the mistake of starting to compare ourselves with other people, little by little we enter a pit of envy and feelings of jealousy that harm us and those around us.

It happened that when they returned, when David returned from killing the Philistine, the women of all the cities of Israel came out singing and dancing, to receive King Saul, with tambourines, with songs of joy and with musical instruments. 7 And the women who danced sang, and said:
Saul smote the thousands of him,
And David to the ten thousands of him.
And Saul was very angry, and this saying displeased him, and he said: They gave David ten thousands, and thousands to me; he lacks only the kingdom. 9 And from that day Saul did not look kindly on David.

1 Samuel 18.6-9

Each one of us has his personal desires and plans, but not always these desires and plans are according to God's desire. That is why on some occasions we see what others experience and it does not mean that everything is in harmony with God's desire, then comparing ourselves would be a serious mistake.

It is similar to what Saul experienced when he saw that women praised David before him, this aroused envy and distrust in Saul, he began to observe his kingdom threatened by him and his actions led the kingdom of him to this end.

Perhaps your case is not like Saúl's but there may be some kind of suspicion in your heart. Let's examine our thinking and our feelings, different emotions are usually faithful indicators of jealousy.

When we are surrounded by these feelings we believe that only getting what we want at all costs will make us happy. Let us remember that our true happiness comes from accepting the grace and will of God, and that God gives us the best, God always provides what we need. Do you believe it?

Cuando caemos en el error de comenzar a compararnos con las demás personas, poco a poco entramos en un pozo de envidia y sentimientos de celos que nos dañan y daña a quienes nos rodean.

Aconteció que cuando volvían ellos, cuando David volvió de matar al filisteo, salieron las mujeres de todas las ciudades de Israel cantando y danzando, para recibir al rey Saúl, con panderos, con cánticos de alegría y con instrumentos de música. 7 Y cantaban las mujeres que danzaban, y decían:
Saúl hirió a sus miles,
Y David a sus diez miles.
Y se enojó Saúl en gran manera, y le desagradó este dicho, y dijo: A David dieron diez miles, y a mí miles; no le falta más que el reino. 9 Y desde aquel día Saúl no miró con buenos ojos a David.

Cada uno de nosotros tiene sus deseos y planes personales, pero no siempre estos deseos y planes son conforme al deseo de Dios. Por ello es que en algunas ocasiones vemos lo que otros experimentan y no quiere decir que todo está en armonía con el deseo de Dios, entonces compararnos sería un grave error.

Es similar a lo que que vivió Saúl al ver que las mujeres elogiaban a David antes que a él, esto despertó en Saúl envidia y desconfianza, comenzó a observar su reino amenazado y sus acciones llevaron su reino a este fin.

Quizás tu caso no es como el deSaúl pero puede que exista algún tipo de recelo en tu corazón, Examinemos nuestro pensamiento y nuestros sentimientos, diferente emociones suelen ser fieles indicadores de celos.

Cuando estamos rodeados de estos sentimientos creemos que solo conseguir eso que deseamos a toda costa nos hará feliz. Recordemos que nuestra felicidad verdadera proviene de aceptar la gracia y voluntad de Dios, y que Dios nos da lo mejor, Dios provee siempre lo que necesitamos. ¿Lo crees?
