Do you need peace? || ¿Necesitas de paz?

We can focus on everything God promises us, all of which brings hope and PEACE to our lives.
A rod will come out of the trunk of Jesse, and a shoot will sprout from its roots. 2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him; spirit of wisdom and understanding, spirit of counsel and power, spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord. 3 And he will make him understand diligent in the fear of Jehovah. He will not judge by what his eyes see, nor decide by what his ears hear; 4 But he will judge the poor with justice, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips shall slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be a girdle on his loins, and faithfulness a girdle on his waist. The wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the kid; the calf and the lion and the domestic beast will walk together, and a child will shepherd them. 7 The cow and the bear will graze, their young will lie down together; and the lion will eat straw like the ox. 8 And the suckling child will play on the cave of the asp, and the newly weaned will extend his hand on the cave of the viper. 9 They will do no harm or harm on all my holy mountain; for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea. It will happen at that time that the root of Jesse, which will be placed as a banner to the peoples, will be sought by the people; and his habitation will be glorious.

Each one of us can use the description that Ramos used to describe the world we are living in daily but I am sure that very few people would use the attribute of peace, even with all this God is what he promises us for our future.
If we go back to the word peace, which in Hebrew is shalom, we are not referring only to a time or period in which there are no wars or conflicts, when we talk about peace we are talking about the fullness of reaching that ideal where we are in full freedom and security.
We can say that it is like God has done everything from the beginning for us, to enjoy that peace together with him, this peace is possible in God.
If we go back to the text cited above, seeing it from our times, we may think that it is a simple utopia or something really impossible to live in the future, we are used to this world of sin, pain and death so it is very difficult for us think of a world without all these elements.
That reality described by the prophet Isaiah for our future fills us with peace, certainty and total security that God through his word will give us everything he promises, this speaks of the greatness of God's peace for our lives, that peace that is not only for the future, this peace is what we can enjoy right now here on earth.
We just need to set our sights on God's promises and rest in it and thus we will obtain that peace that we so long for.

Podemos enfocarnos en todo lo que Dios nos promete, todo ello trae esperanza y PAZ a nuestras vidas.
Saldrá una vara del tronco de Isaí, y un vástago retoñará de sus raíces. 2 Y reposará sobre él el Espíritu de Jehová; espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, espíritu de consejo y de poder, espíritu de conocimiento y de temor de Jehová. 3 Y le hará entender diligente en el temor de Jehová. No juzgará según la vista de sus ojos, ni argüirá por lo que oigan sus oídos; 4 sino que juzgará con justicia a los pobres, y argüirá con equidad por los mansos de la tierra; y herirá la tierra con la vara de su boca, y con el espíritu de sus labios matará al impío. 5 Y será la justicia cinto de sus lomos, y la fidelidad ceñidor de su cintura. Morará el lobo con el cordero, y el leopardo con el cabrito se acostará; el becerro y el león y la bestia doméstica andarán juntos, y un niño los pastoreará. 7 La vaca y la osa pacerán, sus crías se echarán juntas; y el león como el buey comerá paja. 8 Y el niño de pecho jugará sobre la cueva del áspid, y el recién destetado extenderá su mano sobre la caverna de la víbora. 9 No harán mal ni dañarán en todo mi santo monte; porque la tierra será llena del conocimiento de Jehová, como las aguas cubren el mar. Acontecerá en aquel tiempo que la raíz de Isaí, la cual estará puesta por pendón a los pueblos, será buscada por las gentes; y su habitación será gloriosa.

Cada uno de nosotros podemos utilizar la descripción que que Ramos para describir el mundo que estamos viviendo a diario pero estoy seguro de qué muy pocas personas utilizarían el atributo de paz, aún con todo esto Dios es eso lo que nos promete para nuestro futuro.
Si nos remontamos a la palabra paz que en hebreo es shalóm, no nos referimos solamente a un tiempo o periodo en el que no hay guerras o conflictos, cuando hablamos de paz estamos hablando de la plenitud de alcanzar aquello ideal donde estamos en plena libertad y seguridad.
Podemos decir que es como Dios ha hecho todo desde un principio para nosotros, de disfrutar esa paz junto con él, esta paz es posible en Dios.
Si nos remontamos al texto citado anteriormente, viéndolo desde nuestros tiempos, podemos pensar que es una simple utopía o algo realmente imposible de vivir en el futuro, estamos acostumbrados a este mundo de pecado dolor y muerte entonces nos resulta muy difícil pensar en un mundo sin todos estos elementos.
Esa realidad que describe el profeta Isaías para nuestro futuro nos llena de paz certeza y total seguridad de que Dios a través de su palabra nos dará todo lo que promete, esto habla de la grandeza de la paz de Dios para nuestras vidas, esa paz que no es solamente para el futuro, esta paz es la que podemos disfrutar desde ahora mismo aquí en la tierra.
Solamente necesitamos poner nuestra vista en las promesas de Dios y descansar en ello y así obtendremos esa paz que tanto anhelamos.
