Death is imminent. || La muerte es inminente.

You and I are facing death at all times, with this in mind let's try to reflect and examine our life, let's ask the following question: Am I prepared for death and what follows eternally?
32 They also led with him two others, who were criminals, to be put to death. 33 And when they came to the place called La Calavera, they crucified him there, and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. 34 And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. And they divided their clothes among themselves, casting lots. 35 And the people were watching; and even the rulers mocked him, saying: He saved others; save yourself, if this is the Christ, the chosen one of God. 36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him vinegar, 37 and saying, If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself. 38 There was also over him a title written in Greek, Latin, and Hebrew letters: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 And one of the criminals who were hanged reviled him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us. 40 Answering the other, he rebuked him, saying, Do you not even fear God, being in the same condemnation? 41 We, in truth, justly suffer, because we received what our deeds deserved; but this did no harm. 42 And he said to Jesus: Remember me when you come into your kingdom. 43 Then Jesus said to him, Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.
We remember the Lord Jesus, who has been nailed to the cross in the middle of two criminals, but before death one of them recognized and asked Jesus, instantly he was redeemed and forgiven his sins, this has been a clear example for viewers who rejected the messiah.
We can observe both in the delinquent and in anyone who receives the Lord as savior the following characteristics:
Both criminals as well as the crowd, in principle; They insulted the Lord, but there was a change of behavior, a change of attitude, let's see what one of the thieves later responded to the other:
Answering the other, he rebuked him, saying: Do you not even fear God, being in the same condemnation?

Another characteristic of who has received redemption from the Lord is that just as the thief publicly acknowledges that our punishment or consequences are the result of our bad decisions, we acknowledge that we are guilty before God.
The fundamental point is that we express our faith in Jesus, remember what the redeemed thief said: "And he said to Jesus: Remember me when you come into your kingdom." With this request, the thief acknowledged that Jesus was the King of the Jews. Immediately the Lord replied that at that very moment he would be with him in paradise.
Each and every one of us must face death, but are we consciously prepared?

Tu y yo estamos frente a la muerte en todo tiempo, con esto en mente tratemos de reflexionar y examinar nuestra vida, hagamos la siguiente pregunta: ¿Estoy preparado para la muerte y lo que sigue eternamente?.
32 Llevaban también con él a otros dos, que eran malhechores, para ser muertos. 33 Y cuando llegaron al lugar llamado de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y a los malhechores, uno a la derecha y otro a la izquierda. 34 Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y repartieron entre sí sus vestidos, echando suertes. 35 Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y aun los gobernantes se burlaban de él, diciendo: A otros salvó; sálvese a sí mismo, si este es el Cristo, el escogido de Dios. 36 Los soldados también le escarnecían, acercándose y presentándole vinagre, 37 y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los judíos, sálvate a ti mismo. 38 Había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, latinas y hebreas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS.
39 Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate a ti mismo y a nosotros. 40 Respondiendo el otro, le reprendió, diciendo: ¿Ni aun temes tú a Dios, estando en la misma condenación? 41 Nosotros, a la verdad, justamente padecemos, porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos; mas este ningún mal hizo. 42 Y dijo a Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vengas en tu reino. 43 Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.
Recordamos al Señor Jesus, quien ha sido clavado en la cruz en medio de dos delincuentes, pero antes de la muerte uno de ellos reconoció y pidió a Jesus, al instante fue redimido y perdonado de sus pecados, este ha sido un claro ejemplo para los espectadores que rechazaron al mesías.
Podemos observar tanto en el delincuente como en cualquiera que recibe al señor como salvador las siguientes características:
Ambos criminales así como la multitud, en principio; insultaban al Señor, pero hubo un cambio de conducta, cambio de actitud, veamos los que uno de los ladrones respondió mas tarde al otro:
Respondiendo el otro, le reprendió, diciendo: ¿Ni aun temes tú a Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

Otra característica de quién ha recibido la redención del Señor es que así como el ladrón reconocemos públicamente que nuestro castigo o consecuencias es como resultado de nuestras malas decisiones, reconocemos que somos culpables delante de Dios.
El punto fundamental es que expresamos nuestra fe en Jesús, recordemos lo que dijo el ladrón redimido: "Y dijo a Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vengas en tu reino." Con esta solicitud, el ladrón reconocía que Jesús era el Rey de los Judíos. Inmediatamente El Señor le respondió que en ese mismo momento estaría con el en el paraíso.
Todos y cada uno de nosotros debemos enfrentarnos a la muerte, pero ¿Estamos conscientemente preparados?.
