We remember John, the last thing he had written in his gospel is that he could have written much more about the works of Jesus, but still the world would not have been able to do as much about the Lord.

4 John, to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace to you, from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne; 5 and of Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To whom he loved us, and washed us from our sins with his blood, 6 and made us kings and priests to God his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the lineages of the earth will lament for him. Yes, amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1.4-8

John has also described a number of characteristics of Christ's identity. The Lord is the faithful witness, since he has become man as the faithful witness of God, All his works and words were by the will of God.

The Lord Jesus Christ was the firstborn from the dead since he was the first to rise again and this gives us guarantees that we too will rise again in the same way.

For if we were planted together with him in the likeness of his death, so we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection;

Romans 6:5

Christ is the authority of the world, in a moment he will establish his kingdom of power and take dominion in the whole world. Let us always remember that he has shown his love on the cross, giving himself for love to his enemies, who today make up the family of God.

These are some of the characteristics that John points out, Christ is our savior and we can be sure in his promises, the Lord will present himself with all glory and we with him.

Recordamos a Juan, lo último que había escrito en su evangelio es que podría haber escrito mucho mas acerca de las obras de Jesús, pero aún así el mundo no habría sido capaz tanto acerca del Señor.

4 Juan, a las siete iglesias que están en Asia: Gracia y paz a vosotros, del que es y que era y que ha de venir, y de los siete espíritus que están delante de su trono; 5 y de Jesucristo el testigo fiel, el primogénito de los muertos, y el soberano de los reyes de la tierra. Al que nos amó, y nos lavó de nuestros pecados con su sangre, 6 y nos hizo reyes y sacerdotes para Dios, su Padre; a él sea gloria e imperio por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. 7 He aquí que viene con las nubes, y todo ojo le verá, y los que le traspasaron; y todos los linajes de la tierra harán lamentación por él. Sí, amén.
8 Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, principio y fin, dice el Señor, el que es y que era y que ha de venir, el Todopoderoso.

Apocalipsis 1.4-8

Juan también ha descrito una serie de características de la identidad de Cristo. El Señor es el testigo fiel, ya que se ha hecho hombre como el fiel testigo de Dios, Todas sus obras y sus palabras fueron por voluntad de Dios.

El Señor Jesucristo ha sido el primogénito de entre los muertos ya que él ha sido el primero en resucitar y esto nos da garantías que nosotros también resucitaremos de la misma manera.

Porque si fuimos plantados juntamente con él en la semejanza de su muerte, así también lo seremos en la de su resurrección;

Romanos 6:5

Cristo es la autoridad del mundo, en un momento establecerá su reino de poder y tomará el dominio en el mundo entero. Recordemos siempre que ha demostrado su amor en la cruz, dándose si mismo por amor a sus enemigos, quienes hoy conformamos la familia de Dios.

Estas son algunas de las características que señala Juan, Cristo es nuestro salvador y podemos estar seguros en sus promesas, el Señor se presentará con toda la gloria y nosotros con él.
