Greetings marvelous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and suburbs!

We have reached the middle of the week, and tomorrow is that thing you Hoomans call "Thanksgiving," at least those of you here in the USA.

Being Thankful that I have a warm house to live in, with sunny spots!

I like Thanksgiving very much because it means there will be some nice turkey nibbles coming my way!

Hive: A "Santa Claus Rally" Beginning?

Very surprised (and happy) this morning to see the sudden increase in the price of Hive... that's all happening very quickly and suddenly.

All makes me think back to late 2017 when everything suddenly went crazy.

I'm as happy as the next Feline to see things going well, but I do hope it's a little more of a gradual run this time around, so it will be sustainable over the longer term.

I've heard end-of-year numbers from $4.00 to over $20.00 thrown around lately; to be honest, I'd be quite content to quietly sneak into 2022 at $2.50, particularly if we can hold steady there.

But I'm no financial expert... just a happy cat, glad to see our Hive world finally getting some recognition and value! Regardless of everything else, my perspective on all this is a long term one, not a short term one.

I just hope we are all doing really well for ourselves for my 10th Anniversary here... that'll be in March 2028!

Smudge Update!

Our newest member of the family, Smudge, is slowly adapting to her new surroundings.

So far, she has been living in the living room with her own cat box and as many of her familiar things as possible, while "meeting" the rest of the household from a distance, through the safety of a "Kitty Gate."

It's not easy to change home and caretakers when you are already 14 years old!

But she seems to be doing well, eating well and her ears are now up and perky and she's interested in her new surroundings and out and exploring. Part of what makes it challenging for her is that she has a cataract in one eye and doesn't see so well.

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
