My DLease and the potential of ACTs

I'm still quite amazed by the way our coin has been moving in the past month, a slow and steady rise is unusual but if it's the way things are then it should be good. I hope it will continue to climb back to $0.60, which is the level we experienced more than a year ago.

Anyway, I ordered an HP lease yesterday from the DLease website and it seems that someone already topped the lease price I set. I guess the price that I set isn't enticing enough that nobody cares about it. Considering the average APR of the current leases, the price that I set should be slightly better than the average. Although, I can't assume a price is right until someone accepts my offer. Until my order doesn't get filled then it will be a continuous discovery of the price of the HP leases.

Many months ago, I was actively leasing HP delegations through DLease and at some point, I remember the price would reach up to 14% APR while the average curation APR would only be around 8% - 9%. It wasn't profitable in that sense however, there is a benefit in accumulating your own HP or leased HP.

One of which is that I'm able to claim Account Creation Tokens, which is a token for me to create accounts for other people. I think that it may not be important now but it could be something very useful or even profitable in the future.

As of this moment, there are onboarding projects that provide free account creations because we are welcoming new users to join the platform. This free accounts service could go on for a few years for now however, I think that it won't last that long. By the time that the Hive platform blows up and more people would like to join then free account creation would become a limited resource.

Claiming ACTs (Account Creation Tokens) requires a huge amount of RCs (Resource Credits). If I remember correctly, I will need about 6000HP to create 1 ACT every 3 days. That's a rough calculation based on how I did before.

With the leased HP that I accumulated in the past, I was able to claim 17 ACTs which is relatively tiny compared to the ones that have been claiming 10s or 100s with their massive HP.

I think that there's still a need for me to keep claiming ACTs that's why I'm trying to order some HP through DLease. I want to keep claiming more ACTs in preparation for the future, whether it's going to happen or not, I think that it may have a shot someday.
