The Sanctum has Refreshed, But what does that mean?
The Sanctum: What's in it now?
The images below display the current new roster of sanctum cards in Gods unchained and are taken from their website (linked below). For further details click here . Thumbnail is edited from a GU banner label from the same link aswell.

Meta Talk: What does it mean?
These cards seem to focus more around value anti sleep relic removal and various tech aspects WITHOUT throwing in numerous snowbally 1 drops to generate favor on top of generating favor via additional swings to face etc. there seems to be a lot of sleep hate in here (maybe this is a sign of things to come?) and even a few things that appear to be counters to various modern popular decks
For example: The flamecaller and valkas help with vespid, and hoplite helps with that matchup and with carvings aswell. Piercing bolt is a counter to units with crazy high armor like hortuk or atlant industries decks and so on.
There are also heavier and stronger bodies for frontline and you also have ironclad minotaur in answers aswell. Beefier than what the previous sanctum had to offer for bodies all around (given they all cost more favor).
Talking Tidbits: On the Ladder
I've been playing with the new sanctum for a while and it's pretty nice. I personally think the sanctum changes were made to give death a bit more room to breath with sceptre also. Without the presence of the 2 drop that removes a creature with 1 attack obelisks can roam free again without fear of sanctum hate. The new sanctum is nice so far, we'll see what it's like when the next expansion rolls around that it's prefacing to know for sure. But so far it is nice not having to deal with an endless stream of 1 drops spammed by whoever goes first for a change. Thanks for the continued support and reading this thing folks, you all rock!
Hey! I see a few people posting images without sourcing. So to save me from repeating the same things many times over in the future and to help everyone find the correct links, I created a post explaining it:
https://peakd.com/hive-173286/@agrante/image-sourcing-for-gods-unchained-posts
Remember you can always go back and edit your published posts 😉
You don't need to directly link the images as long as you source where they are from and that you do not own them or they are in game screenshots. Thanks for the heads up, I normally have a little blurb at the start stating this for most hive articles but forgot it here. Thanks man. Hope you are having a good week. Also keep in mind if images are edited (manually) to become significantly different than the source material (ie a thumbnail etc.) most of that falls in the purview of "the fair use doctrine" so it does not need to be explicitly stated. Have a wonderful week.
Sourcing means posting the link to where they came from. As you say you don't have to link the images directly, however, if you use one of the official GU servers (for cards or art), linking the root domain will show an error page, which in itself is useless for whoever is interested in the image source.
Regarding the 'fair doctrine' thing, I still think it makes sense if you adapt an existing image you could say something like 'Original image from xyz'.
Cheers mate, keep on posting good reads here, it's appreciated!
