Diablo 2 Nostalgia
Diablo 2 Nostalgia
I have a lot of time to pass and not a lot of money to spend. So I've been getting into some really fun games, specifically Diablo 2.
It's been ages since I've played Diablo, not since 2004 maybe even earlier! But, it's a really fun game still and some things in it have evolved some. The thing I most enjoy about the game is all the variations of items that make is so there is a constant chase for something unique.
There is a site that many players use called d2jsp. They trade Forum Gold (FG) for items, it's like a crypto currency but the thing is the person minting FG is making a ton of money.
I'm not sure if anyone on Hive has ever seen d2jsp. But I think it's a huge opportunity for Hive to look into a forum for trading game items, like in Diablo 2. I would trade Hive for a Shako... that's the idea right!
Another cool thing about the game is it has not lost it's constant excitement and nostalgia if your an old gamer like me and remember the game. People are still trading ist for Shakos, Ber for Jah, etc. The game hasn't changed much, but there are some really cool changes.
This season they just came out with sunder charms, to break down monster immunities and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of other changes since 2004 I just can't remember them all.
So for me, it's like a new game I just kind of remember most of it. The important part, I know how to play the game good still!

Diablo 2 has many awesome aspects to the game, but the best part of all is just mind-numbing farming. Nowadays it's farming for FG, which is even more fun because there is an economy and market that is ever changing with the new ladder seasons that come out. The ladders re-ignite the economies and sometimes in the beginning of a new ladder shako's can sell for up to $150 or 4,000fg.
The thing about FG though is you can actually buy it anywhere from other people, etc. It's complicated but I try to buy it from other players and trade for FG rather than make the guy selling FG rich!
For many traders, they find using perfect gems as an excellent alternative to FG. Some players are not using JSP but it's the way to get the best items quick in the game. I guess the other Diablo games in the series are similar. I just remember being able to dupe items in Diablo 3, which made it no fun!
I plan to write more about Diablo and how the trading works, you can actually make money off of it but the thing I want to explore the most is how to bring the jsp community to Hive. I think this could bring 1,000 of more active users to the platform.

I used to love the Diablo games 😱. If I'm not mistaken, it was the last game I played before my PC died 😅. I remember a few of my friends being into farming. I myself was just there for the gameplay and the storie 😂
I wish I could get into the stories of games, I'm more into economies. That's why I liked dcity so much! Maybe you can get back into it like me!
