I completely agree that the takeover attempt and hard fork was one of the best things that's happened for the chain. It energized the community,gave focus, and resulted in the hf that, as I understand, is much improved.

I hadn't logged into steemit in almost a year, then did so a week or two ago. It's weird. It also seems so old and caught back in time.

For me, I,ve been on Hive 4 years. Before the takeover, I'd drifted away. Then, came back to Hive full force.

I hope the movie that's being talked about comes out chronicling the Hive story.

All that was good about Steem left when Hive was created. Unless things change dramatically, seems doubtful Steem has much of a future. I rarely think about Steem anymore.

Very true. You sometimes read people say the most important thing about Hive is the people, the community. I'd say that's pretty accurate. Steemit has the infrastructure, but without the people, is going nowhere. Even the technical aspects of Hive are due to the people here building. Which is why Hive has grown technically, Steemit seems to be stuck in the same state as during the hf.!LUV
