CROSSCULTURE CURATION POST || 26/01/2022
Hello beautiful people!
@kemmyb here 👋
Welcome to the New Cross Culture's Daily Curation where we bring you some amazing posts from members across communities of different cultures, focusing on but not limited to bilingual posts.
The Cross Culture community, was created by @whatamidoing.
It is a community that supports authors who make posts that share the realities of different cultures first hand, as well as different perspectives and experiences. We look for ways in which cultures can become crosscrossed and enlightening while going beyond stereotypes associated with certain culture.
The authors whose articles have been chosen for this week are all writing content of high quality, which focus on the various topics:
- All bilingual posts
- Posts in regional communities or tags
- Posts related to language or culture
- Posts in our cross culture community
Cross Culture's daily bulletin aims to bring to light all authors whose articles would otherwise remain unnoticed and lost in the platform, therefore we tend to reward authors who create quality posts, giving them a fair chance to establish themselves on the platform.
Howbeit, that's only the half of it!!!
After careful selections, our curators which come from diverse cultures will single out the most outstanding articles among all those curated to create a weekly shout out to the authors from the Top posts of the week.
📌Therefore, here are this week's awesome authors and their posts:
Visiting A Photography Exhibition by @ipolatjeh1988
I would like to share a little story about my short trip to a photography exhibition in the city where I live, especially in Indonesia, Aceh. The distance to the location is about 20 minutes by motorbike. The photography exhibition was held by a group of students who were in the city where I live, the event lasted for 3 days. I really like photography, that's why I wanted to come directly to the exhibition location and see some of the student's drawings. Various images were also exhibited to enliven the photography exhibition, be it landscape, portrait, macro images and various kinds of the best images of them were also displayed in order to get the best value.
Kente Cloth In Ghana by @mcsamm
One important aspect is the clothing we wear, which plays an important role in our society. Ghanaians are so proud of their culture that we don't want to throw it away. Elders work hard to ensure that the finest of our traditional ideals are taught every day. This is a Ghanaian society cloth known locally as Kente. It is a beautiful textile that cannot be compared to other materials. The Ashantis of the Akan ethnic group wear and utilize the Kente fabric the most. The Kente fabric is used by every member of the Akan ethnicity for their garments. Kente is manufactured locally by weaving. They are woven using a variety of colored and patterned threads.

Today I am going to share one of my favourite snacks Pakora Pakora is a Hindi word used for fritters. As rain starts, our mind automatically start thinking about Pakoras. 😂😂 So they are instantly prepared as rain drops start falling down the sky. I think there will be none who will say no to these crispy fritters. I made these fritters a few days ago, when it was raining. I made mixed fritters using Spinach, Potatoes, Onions, Green chillies etc. You can made them separately too. At times I make Potato fritters for my daughter separately. Here I am going to share the ingredients and receipe for mix fritters.
Atama Soup Made By My Golden Wife by @edipascal
I am posting pictures of yesterdays bountiful soup today because it was needful to relax and enjoy my wife's beautiful African dish called 'Atama Soup'. The soup is by with palm fruit as its major residue alongside Atama leaf and other items. Having to eat this soup with African Fufu gives your a different feeling from garri, don't forget as an African dish it's spicy eating it with your hands. I'll write about its preparation when next she makes the soup. One out of a million African Lady and strictly Ibibio trip can proudly prepare this soup excellently and I am blessed to have a golden home made beautiful lady for a wife. God bless the chef and the eaters.
