Welcome to the New Cross Culture's Daily Curation where we bring you some amazing posts from members across communities of different cultures, focusing on but not limited to bilingual posts.

The Cross Culture community, was created by @whatamidoing.

It is a community that supports authors who make posts that share the realities of different cultures first hand, as well as different perspectives and experiences. We look for ways in which cultures can become crosscrossed and enlightening while going beyond stereotypes associated with certain culture.

I'm very privileged to have both of my parents in my life. They are the reason I'm alive today, and their love and care is the reason I've achieved all I've achieved so far. The mere thought of their love has helped me get through tough times in the past. At times I think what my life would be like without them...When I was young my Dad was always very busy, always traveling, and always doing whatever he could to put food on the table, sometimes he had to relocate for a while, while my mum was the one tasked with watching over us and making sure that we didn't lack anything. I was pretty much happy with this even though at times I'd miss my dad.

This exhibition made a special impression on me. Olga Pilyuhina creates tapestries in the ancient smooth hand-weaving technique. The reverse side of her tapestries is as perfect as the front. I consider this as a sign of the artist's extraordinary skill. You can see many traditional elements of Ukrainian carpet weaving in her works. For example, this is the world of wild flora and fauna, including images of different animals and birds. They're so amazing! In addition to the images of birds that represent the human soul, the artist often refers to the images of horses which symbolizes freedom...Olga Pilyuhina's handmade carpets and tapestries are presented in leading museums, galleries, private collections, diplomatic missions and cultural centers not only in Ukraine but also abroad.

Our souls are our inner person, our true selves, the place where our convictions and beliefs are formed. This presupposes that a soulmate is a person whose beliefs, characters and inner self make a 'perfect' match with another person. This makes their relationship easy, peaceful and they form a bond. Some people believe there is only one soulmate created for everyone. I wonder, what about those who fall genuinely in love and have more than one soul connection? Does it mean they are an exception to the general rule? Does it not contradict the 'rule' of one soulmate? The term soulmate in my opinion is derived from the bonds of friendship and fellowship. It is possible to form a soul connection or an unbreakable bond with another person and this does not have to be a romantic love connection.

My parents have played quite some roles in my life and first one which is giving birth to me. Without them, I wouldn't have been born into this world to look cute as I am, do the things I do, enjoy life and be where I am today. Without them, no one would have known me, my existence wouldn't be there and I thank God for that. Dad is a Reverend and Mom being his wife is a prayer warrior and growing up they've shown me and told me everything there is about God. It's like I am being initiated into God's kingdom, they have showed me the way of the lord and everything good to do and live with concerning God.
