PREPARATIONS FOR ‘END OF THE YEAR SALES’ 🛒
I don’t know if I have really mentioned it here before, but I am an entrepreneur. I sell plain t-shirts as well as perfumes of all kinds. As we all know, it’s the festive period and most businesses are doing end of the year sales and appreciating their customers with gifts for sticking with them throughout the year. I see sales flier almost everyday with mouth watering deals to attract customers and potential customers. I am sure you must have been seeing it all around as well.
Well, I have been thinking of what to do for what to do with my brand, to give the customers the best deals I can, this December. I will tell you all the plans but then, it was important that I restocked and I had to do it as soon as possible.
When I was still in school, I usually go to my uncle’s place in lagos a day before I go to the market, then go to the market the following morning, get back to the house later that day, then get back the school the following day. Yes, it was always lot of transport fare, but I still found a way to cope.
I decided to restock perfumes because of the sales I want to commence, and this time around, I am at home instead of school. I had to come up with another strategy, so I decided to leave for Lagos and come back on the same day. I chose today to do that, by the way. I knew it would be quite stressful, but I had to just do it.
The plan was to leave my house by 6:30 this morning but I slept off and woke up minutes to 7😂😭. After rushing to bath and dress up, I eventually left around 7:30 and got to the park minutes to 8. Unfortunately, the bus didn’t get filled up on time and we only left minutes after 9 but I think the bus was quite fast, we got to lagos minutes to 11 a.m
From the last bus stop, I still had to take another bus to the exact market I was going to. I was almost at the market when I noticed this place they were making snacks. I didn’t eat before leaving home so I thought I should have something before my stomach starts to upset me. They looked quite neat and organized, all their snacks were carefully placed in their transparent show glass. I decided to trust them and bought meat pie from them (went for 0.5HBD ~ 500 naira).
To cut the long story short, I was more than disappointed when I tasted the meat pie😭😭😭
Guys, it tasted as if salt was added to the flour in excess and I was not feeling whatever fillings they used😭. It had little meat in it and it was giving more of pie vibes than meat pie😂. See, it was quite edible sha and I managed to eat it but I am never buying snacks in Lagos ever again.
I went on to the market and shopped till 2:30 p.m thereabout. At the end of my shopping, I realized that there was no way I could carry my goods in nylons. I was standing and thinking of how I will sort myself out when this good guy came to me from the shop I had bought from earlier to help me out. He offered me a carton and even helped me to arrange all my goods inside. I was so grateful, because I really don’t know how I would have gone about it.
My carton was quite heavy, but I managed to carry it.
I later got back to the park around 3:30 p.m and I was lucky enough to be the last person to enter the bus, so we left almost immediately. I got back to my house after 6 p.m
My plan for the sales is to discount the prices of the perfumes, make some branded items for my customers, to put in every of their orders, and also appreciate loyal customers that has stuck with the brand all year round with unique items. I hope it all turns out well😌😌
