MAKING MY MOM’S BIRTHDAY SPECIAL || HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

My mom celebrated another year on earth two days ago, on March 1st. Personally, I had been anticipating it, and hoping I would be able to do something to make her very happy. Unlike last year, when I was unable to do a thing because I was so broke. I was really sad that I had to write in my notes to feel better. I would have shared a screenshot if I hadn’t lost all the data on my former cellphone. I genuinely hoped and prayed that this year would be better and be a different story. Guess what, guys??! It came to pass! And till now, I’m still so glad to the core🥹💃

My mom had gone to her place of work by the time I woke up on her birthday. She is a primary school teacher in a government-owned nursery and primary school. I was very hyped that day, though I was clueless as to what to get her. My brother had also gone out to fix his phone, so I was the only one left to do the whole brainstorming thing.

I initially thought of getting a watch, a perfume, and a cake, but my bank account was looking at me like this:

I had withdrawn my earnings from Hive (Thank you Hive🥹🤍) the previous day and also received some funds from my special person. I told my brother the amount I was able to gather, so he can do his Big Brother magic and add to it. Yktv🌝

We decided to visit the nearest supermarket to see what we could get with the money we had with us. Also, we had to do that quickly so we could have everything ready before Mom got back from work.

We got a nice perfume, a birthday cake, and drinkssss. I was extremely happy and pumped throughout the whole time we were shopping. We were not able to get so many things, but at least we gave all we could, and the fact that we could do that gave me so much joy. We got home and hid all the things we bought, so it would catch mom by surprise.

She later got back, and the family sang her a birthday song. She was so happy already, not knowing there was more in store for her. We later presented her with the cake and the perfume, and, ohhh myyyy Godddd, she was so happy and grateful.

The smile on her face was so comforting, and immediately I knew that was another win for the year.

I have this book. In which I write my wins for the year, I include even the littlest of things that one would have overlooked on a normal day. Last year, I thought I didn't achieve anything, but I realized that I was considering only big wins. Now, I have realized that even a small win is still a win, so I decided to be more grateful and pay attention to details this year.

I took pictures of her with the cake, and also made dinner for the family, which we stepped down with the drinks we got. It was a very wonderful and interesting day for us as a family. Till today, mom is still thanking us for making her day memorable☺️.

I genuinely pray that next year will even better than this. That woman deserves every good thing that life has to offer.
