IF WISHES WERE HORSES || MIDNIGHT RANT!
I’m writing this down in the middle of the night because I am in my feelings right now and I just want to rant and let it all out.
Minutes ago, I went to wake my mom up so she can write her lesson notes. I mentioned before now, that she is a primary school teacher in a government-owned nursery and primary school. As I woke her up, I noticed that she was exhausted and just wanted to rest for few more minutes—or maybe an hour.
It stirred up my emotions, I’m not going to lie. I can’t imagine how she put up with it for several years. After a hectic day at work, she would still have to wake up in the middle of the night again to write notes, whether it’s convenient or not. I can’t imagine how draining it must have been for all these years. Repeating a cycle will always end up becoming boring, even if you enjoy what you are doing. If I were her, I would have quit the job, for real🥹.
As I saw her struggle to wake up, I wished I had the capacity to tell her to stop working and place her on a monthly salary that would be x10 what she’s earning now, so she can just sleep peacefully without any disturbance. I genuinely wished I had made it, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how things can get better. I am still a student, and I am still very young, but then, if wishes were horses, I wouldn't hesitate to ride🥹
I got back to my room and tried to distract myself from my thoughts, so I opened the Instagram application on my phone and the first video that appeared on my screen made me burst into tears, literally.
The video was of a lady, making a video of a little girl, who she wants her whereabouts to be known, so that people who recognize her can reach out. Apparently, this young girl was taken from her parents, by her uncle. But this uncle was maltreating her to the extent of cutting off one of her fingers. Imagine!
This girl’s face was filled with bruises, and the lady who made the video claimed the bruises were actually all over her body. I broke down in tears, because I couldn't imagine anyone going through that, let alone a kid.
The girl looked unkempt, and extremely sad. Her normal face wasn’t normal, she was a sad little girl and that fact was written all over her face. Gosh! I’m moved to tears again
How can anyone be that heartless?? I sometimes wonder if it’s not blood that flows in some people’s veins.
I couldn’t stop thinking about what this girl would have gone through. I couldn’t imagine the trauma she has to live with and how it will have an effect in the entire story of her life. With this experience as a little girl, what kind of life will she lead? I can’t imagine how hard living her life must have been. Honestly, it is really hard to be some people. The fact that they are them makes them worthy of a thousand accolades.
I further came to the realization that every human has different struggles (different people, different problems). It is just so sad that some people have it harder than others. I really felt for the girl, and again, I wished I had the capacity to take her out of her misery and put a bright smile on her face, even if it will take a while.
I sincerely pray she gets to live a good life, so she wouldn’t think that life isn’t more than what she has experienced. I really pray she doesn’t grow up broken and depressed. I pray that she gets help as soon as possible. I pray life becomes better and better for her and she eventually grows up to be a strong woman!.
As I said earlier, everyone has their own struggles. We all have one or two things we are going through, and I genuinely pray that we all come out stronger.
Okay, let me go and wake my mom up again, because that woman didn’t stand up the other time.

We make sacrifices for each other and those around us depending on many factors. Your mom doesn’t like to wake up to do what she’s doing but she’s been doing it for a while to earn a salary, support you and also provide an education for the children she is working with. There are a lot of things we do that aren’t great but we do it out of duty. Duty is an important factor that many people are missing these days.

I agree with you. You just have to do those things because you have to. Even if it’s not so easy and probably tiring as well, you just have to show up, till you have a choice.

Some people are like beasts. No. Worse than beasts. They torture others for their pleasure. They don't have a heart but a stone in their chest.
You are right in saying that everyone of us have our strugles. You feel for others. You have got a good heart. May be some day, with your dreems, you become able to be a rescue to such people.

Honestly, I don't want to know how it feels like to be some people, but I would love to know how they feel and reason because I can not phantom how a sane person can be so evil and do the wicked things that they do. Truly, not all humans are humane , it is so sad tbh.

Every human has different struggles. It is like that. Life is just like that. I hope you make your mom proud when you start working.

It's really disheartening to see people treat their fellow human beings with such wickedness in their heart... Sometimes it gets me to wonder if everyone was actually created with a heart.
It's hard for everyone already so why complicate things for your fellow humans, that's so so unfair 😢
So the girl would have to live with an incomplete finger for the rest of her lives for something I know doesn't even worth anything.

Honestly, the diversity in human nature is totally crazy and unexplainable, because I don't understand how anyone can choose to be a beast when there is a free and cooler option to be human. The funny part is that it's these kind of people that lives too long for anyone's liking, and that is one thing that is very annoying and I can never seem to understand.

Some families are more complicated than you think. A lot of circumstances will definitely surround that situation.
Nothing in the world should have resulted to the stupid decision to mutilate a little child. Even if she did the worst thing one could think of, there are still better ways to go about disciplining a child. He is just an animal in human form and deserves to rot in jail.

Your mom and my mom...My mother was a teacher for years. A diligent one who would spend breaks writing lesson notes and being ahead of her colleagues. My mother instilled in me strong work ethics and the first thing she taught me was, LOVE YOUR JOB EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE NO REASON TO...It was hard but I always believed that I would take her out of that hard work. Now, she runs her own business and it is not easier. It got tougher and just like you, I am doing everything I can to make sure she retires.
As for the news you came across, I always knew there were heartless people; some more than others. I can't even begin to imagine what that girl has endured. This is why I am eternally grateful to have grown under a mom like mine.
I love that you were able to relate well to the first part of my post. It is not easy to run a family, our parents tried and are still trying their bests. May God crown their efforts and also help us to ease them of any further stres.

Sometimes, it is not like we are pushed or forced to do certain things, it is only a call duty yo stand by and effect some actions.

Life will always be unfair to us dear but what I've learned is that these struggles are what also keeps us going, we just have to be grateful in any situation we find ourselves.

Truly if wishes were horses...gosh! I would have ride them to accomplish my dreams and goals but unfortunately it's not at all. For how long did she continue that cycle?? But if it was our youths they would be so tired already! Is there any source of their strength??...how do they cope please?....what a figure to imitate from!?😩
I have seen so many heartless beast that calls themselves human being beaten up a little child like they are of same age. I hope nemesis follows them because I know children are spirit and shouldn't be maltreated at all.
