Opportunity and Preparedness

There are two things that'll guarantee your greatness in life and they're opportunity and preparedness. Once you have the knowledge of the above you'll know that the statement Opportunities comes but once is false because there opportunities everywhere but few prepared people to see them.
What is Opportunity?
Opportunity is an occasion or situation that makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do, or the possibility of doing something.
Element, aspect, or fact in the external environment that help to attain a goal or objective or is beneficial and produce an advantage.
I'm so amazed with the two definitions above but the second definition gives me what I'm looking for to achieve the purpose of this post.
One thing about opportunity is that it puts you in an advantage position but requires a motion to act upon that advantage. Something must be in place to enable you take advantage of the situation. For instance, a building that's is placed on sale for $100k for months without buyers that is reduced to $30k. An individual that doesn't have the $30k will lose such an opportunity. This will lead us to the area of preparedness.
What is Preparedness?
Preparedness means actions that may include, but are not limited to planning, resourcing, training, exercising, and organizing to build, sustain, and improve operational disaster response capabilities. Preparedness also includes the process of identifying the personnel, training, and equipment needed for a wide range of potential incidents, and developing jurisdiction-specific plans for delivering capabilities when needed for an incident.
The definition of preparedness makes opportunities more achievable in all ramifications. This is because it helps you identify, being equipped and ready for any incident and also makes you have the capacity needed for such opportunities.
One thing about being prepared at all times is that you don't know when the opportunity will surface for you to act upon. If this is true then everyone needs to plan and prepare for unforseen circumstances and opportunities alike.
