Beautiful Sunday - How We Taught The Student To Cook?
We are not only teaching the student about academic subject but we teach them how to be a good cook for the family. Using their harvest in the mountain, they need to know some basic preparation how to make their foods tasty and improvised the cooking technique from their parents.Last few days past we handout cooking events,a cooking contest for them to be creative and did the challenge very well.
The finish product of their recipe using fried dried fishes with tomatoes.
How they prepared the fire for cooking using woods and stones.
The ingredients consist of magic sarap, tomatoes, onions and garlic. It all enhance the taste of the dried fishes.
They fried first the dried fishes and why they need to put tomato? That added tomatoes because it will lessen the salty taste of the dried fish and the sauce outcome was delicious.
The tomatoes produced sauce and its good to eat even with rootcrops.
They were divided into groups and made the efforts of helping each other to have the best viand. They enjoyed with all the laughter's as they were cooking with noise. They spoke their own tongue so they were like a birds in my ears.
After the cooking, they enjoyed eating and never went home for lunch. We ate lunch together and we did this every end of the month. Every month, they have different presentation and it is also given grades. All the parents were grateful that their children already knew how to cook a new recipes. During parents and teachers meeting , some of the parents were were vocal to talk with us on how we taught them not only about academic subject.

The lessons are really great because without cooking lessons, today's children can just do it online.
