Beautiful Sunday For My Nephew

From the mountain,I went home earlier to celebrate the birthday of my nephew. He has no father and his mother my sister is not around. She is the only one child of my sister. He have two kids bit separated from his wife. Since then, I was the one taking care of him. I communicate her that I have to cook pansit for the birthday but my sister told me not to spend and make it as simple thanksgiving surrounded by our nearest family. So we celebrated it with our Aunt, her children and my cousins. It was not spending a lot of money. The budget was just like buying food for ordinary days and only the cake gave attraction and signed of his birthday plus the presentation on the table made it perfect.

We started cooking in the morning so it could be a lunch time to get together. Our house is a distance from my Aunt and need to travel for 30 minutes by motorcycle. Many times we celebrated birthdays in their house but I insisted to be at home.

There is big different in cooking by gas between firewoods. We don't need to buy firewoods. At the back of our house, there are so many coconut tree. It helped us not consuming the gasul which is expensive now.

I felt happy looking my nephew being surprised from our small simple preparation. He never thought that made it for him.

My nephew is a good man, but he encountered trials in his life. He lost his father at 14. His mother we t abroad when he was young at 7. I am taking care of him from the beginning and the latest happening g in his life was being a victim of planting drug. It was not the last, after acquitted from that case,his wife separated him. He is like my son so whatever any measures that could help him to be strong, I have my helping hands to give encouragement uplifting his patient to handle and overcome everything.
