Terrarium fun with my son.

Hey everyone, have you ever made a terrarium? I highly recommend it, something incredibly educational and fun to do if you have kids, Jesse and me had a blast making these amazing terrariums.

The secret to this self contained ecosystem is to not let it get too hot, so no direct sunlight, if so, early morning and late afternoon for an hour only, many terrarium hobbyists have these under grow lights.

We put thick gravel at the bottom followed by charcoal then peatmoss and fras (worm poo mix) and planted a fern and other little shrubs that don't grow too big. Plant selection is vital.

Jesse such a content, helpful, happy child always having fun with Daddy every day a new adventure, watering his ferns here before we plant.

It will be interesting to see how these look in the next few months ill be certain to do follow up posts soonest.

These lids are easily removable which I do daily to rid the glass walls of humidity, many folks leave these closed for years, decades even.
