Homemade Pale Ale In Paradise
Hey everyone, what an epic evening I recently had sampling two different beer styles which I had recently made at home.
Yeast is one of, if not the most important factor when brewing a beer. The most important lesson I have learnt in 2 years of brewing is that you absolutely need to ferment your beer within the fermentation ranges of the yeast. If not you will almost always have bad beer.
The lighter blond ale I brewed with lallemands Belgian style ale yeast. The darker ale I brewed with lallemands Kveik. My first time using this yeast I was so incredibly impressed with both the time I took to brew this magnificent beer but also the taste. It came out spectacularly which was surprising as to the high ferment temps as well as short 3 day full fermentation process.
I normally drink my tasty fresh crisp homebrew outdoors on the plot here where I reside or next door at my mates, with incredible views like this why not?
The next beer I make will be my biggest yet. I'll be using atleast 4 kgs of dextrose and honey and 2 sachets of yeast my first time for both as I want to achieve a high ABV of atleast 10% madness? We shall see, haha
The top beer my 4% blond ale and bottom darker amber ale. Both spectacular. Homebrewing literally is the best beer ever if you know what you are doing. All homebrewers share this sentiment of freshness and taste that you won't find in any commercial beer.
Yeast "poop" literally is what beer is, best tasting poop ever haha.
