Splinterlands | Unprotected Challenge
Arnor nowadays is absolutely key in almost every single Splinterlands game and without most of your monsters having it, you are almost without chance. This makes it that the unprotected rule really tends to shake things up and make for interesting battles. My strategy mostly comes down to playing Speed Decks as those have more chance to get misses along with having focus to get enough damage in while possibly reducing the health of the opponent monsters.
My go-to line-up with this rule tends to be Death Splinter in the line of something like this...
However, most of the time there are 3 rulesets which force you to be more creative. This battle with All Monsters getting Divine Shield, No Armor, & Earthquake made me go with a Life Splinter Class cards which tend to be strong toward having some good Fly Monsters.
I opted for my Dragon Sungazer Summoner which only cost 3 Mana instead of the Quix which cost 4. One of the monsters I lose a lot against as a tank is the Pelacor Conjurer which I played here in 1st place. In 2nd I used the Manticore followed by the Celestial harpy for 2 Melee monsters with fly. The Enchanted Pixie in 4th place gave those 2 one extra attack. In 2nd last place, I opted for the Light Elemental as it reduced Ranged attack of the opponent. In last place for a 6th fly ability monster I used the Thunderbird.
The key difference between me and my opponent on this match is that all my monsters had Fly so none got the 2 damage at the end of each round. This made it a fairly easy win.
