Some winning and losing bets yesterday which turned out in a more or less break-even result. 3 more matches and chances to look forward to today though...
OH Leuven vs Cercle Brugge
OHL took a very fortunate draw last week in a match they should have lost against stvv getting 26 chances against and 15 corners. This now puts them at 1 point on 18 in the last 6 matches and they have become one of the teams that has a high chance to end in the last 4. They also are suffering a lot of missings (10 last match) and Goalkeeper Leysen has been one of their best players. They however haven't been crushed against the asian handicap and are even profitable still at home (4.5W-3L-0.5P) where they are also 5.5W-1L-1.5P on the Under. Cercle Brugge also has come to a point where they had 1 injured player too much which has cost them points. However, their team still looks quite ok for today. My general apraoch on them is to look for spots to start opposing them as I do see them fall below the top 6. Their high-intensity style also seems to have fatigue kick in a bit at this stage in the season. The stat that keeps standing out the most is their low-scoring matches despite often up-and-down match pictures. They are 11W-3L-3P on the under this season also because they refuse to play and often kick balls forward with high pressing preventing the Opponent to get anything going. The odds remain attractive mostly because OHL last season was a team that often had crazy high-scoring matches and because Cercle is higher in xG compared to the actual goals they scored. 1H Under 1.25 @ 1.891 &
Under 3 @ 1.964. Most likely it will quite be uncomfortable with the pace actually not being that low and I will see how it goes to possibly opt out if needed.
RWDM vs Sint-Truiden
RWDM has been more mediocre recently having a hard time to find the goal but they are still above the danger zone and do look like a team that has a fair chance not to relegate. Overall they have been valued properly but do seem to have underish matches at home. Stvv has been putting up great performances lately but they still rely way too much on Koita for goals missing a real striker. They also tend to be better away going 6W-1L-1P so far on the asian handicap. They multiple times played and excellent 1H while RWDM in each of their last 7 home matches ended the first half with a draw also ranking last in those standings. RWDM is also last on expected goals in the last 3 matches with an average of 0.42 while Stvv is 5th with 1.45 on average. Based purely on the form, I had to take 0.2 units on
Stvv -0.25 @ 1.850
Standard vs Charleroi
Standard remains a team right now who are capable of both the best of the worst. They are coming of 4 matches against top teams playing good last week away against Anderlecht (2-2), Losing Deserved 2-0 against club Brugge, Winning a fairly even match against Genk (1-0), and being absolutely nowhere the week before against Antwerp 6-0. So it remains a big question mark which team will show up and how fans react also as that remains a risk especially against Anderlecht or Charleroi today. Charleroi at this point is in 13th place and are in the relegation fight likely until the end of the season. They do have quality in the team but are only with 1 close win in the last 5 at home against Westerlo. They have been a team losing with a small difference away from home going just 1W-6.5L-0.5P against the asian line and 5W-2.5L-0.5P against the under. It remains Standard at home and I rate them overall as the team in better form. The odds and line are are just high enough for me to take 0.2 units on
Standard -0.25 @ 1.930. I do expect a match where both teams are willing to go for it. Charleroi has gone to at least 9 corners in each of their away matches and if the line gets there I might look to possibly get some in on that. The last 3 home matches of Standard also each went to 10 or more.
