Today I wanted to share a few pictures from my recent few days off, and some of the adventures we had!

Vacation Monochrome Monday

Vacation is a crucial thing, that's for sure! It's good to work hard but it's also incredibly important to be able to take some time off and get to do some recharging of the batteries, physically and mentally. I had some vacation time to burn so I figured I would take half a week off and it was a great time!

The little man and I are always down for adventures, and it worked out. My wife wasn't feeling the best so me having a few days off really helped her, I was able to take the little man out all day for several days and she was able to relax and rest. She would have certainly preferred to join us and do some stuff but life throws some curves at you, and you just have to roll with it. Roll we did!

The farm that we get our food from is one of the places that we all love. It's a wonderful and beautiful farm nestled on the hillside. It's also got quite a few different things going for it, and a prominent one is the massive amount of chickens they've got! I think they have 500 chickens or so, so you can bet your ass that we get a lot of eggs throughout the summer and farm season! I love fresh eggs that's for sure!

It wouldn't be time off for me if the little man and I didn't go fishing! Fishing we did! We went fishing most of the days that I was off, and he was loving it. I was loving it more, because fishing is one of those things that I really enjoy and do get to do it fairly regularly, however it's limited for us to mainly the late spring, summertime and early fall. Late fall and wintertime just doesn't work out, which is okay because we fill our time with other things but it's always a lot of fun to go fishing and pull in some hogs!

With the adventures that we go on, we do sometimes get exposed to some really amazing places! This waterfall here was one we were driving by, not even really fishing it but we were heading to go get our food from the farm and the little man has eagle eyes for any kind of moving water hahaha. He spotted this thing way before I did!

We immediately pulled over to go check it out, I love the look and feel of an environment next to a waterfall. The sound of the constantly crashing water is something else that's for sure. This is also a spot that we've never been to before, so we are going to do some research to figure out where we can park, how we can fish it and other things. I know that the pictures in black and white here are pretty cool, but the waterfall is certainly my favorite. It's got a very industrial feel to it, with there being a lack of colors.
