Today I wanted to share some cool photos from the river that the little man and I fished on recently!

Riverside Monochrome Monday

Fishing rivers is definitely one of my favorite things to do. We don't really catch many things when we do fish them sadly but it's still really nice to stand by one, watch the water flow by and occasionally see people in kayaks or canoes floating on by, saying hi and being out here to appreciate the beauty of nature the same that we are!

We've been trying to explore some different places around us, it's a lot of fun and it can sometimes lead to getting to explore such a hidden beauty like this. We didn't get to catch any fish in this spot but it was nice to stand there and relax in the weather with my son and the breeze floating on by.

This particular spot is one that is a little down the road from one that we fished in last year or the year before, I forget which exactly. We haven't been back to this spot though for a while so we were out doing some other stuff and decided to give this one a try. When we pulled up to the bridge, we immediately knew where we were and that we had fished this spot before! We caught one fish at the bridge itself I think and then we decided to try and see what else was around. We saw some small boat coming out of the water down the road a little bit so we decided to see what was down there, if it was anything that would be worth spending some time on.

Getting down there, we realized this was a pretty beautiful spot! I love how open and available the river is when you're standing here. There are a number of spots all along the rocky shoreline here that you can throw a line which is a lot of fun. We checked out the variety along the way, seeing what we could do. I loved the background the most though, it was a pretty serene spot!

Seeing the river come out at a bit of a U bend in front of you is a nice thing to experience. The bridge we fished at was on the other side of the U to our right and to the left, the river just took a nice lazy turn and kept on in that direction. One of the things I'm very eager to be able to do is get us some kayaks or a canoe so that we can get that shit in the water and do some exploring! My son loves to explore and for me, it's a little painful not being able to get a boat in the water and see what the heck is around that bend there, or hundreds of other bends in rivers and ponds that we've fished at lol.

With these black and white pictures, I tried to adjust it from my normal setting and I think they came out pretty well! I like how the trees are easily visible with this setting, with some of the other black and white ones they wash out the fine details of the trees by just making it really dark. This one does a good job I think!
