Hive Power Up and Sponsor Day
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I'm here with the Thirtieth iteration (can't believe it's been 30 already!) of my "Power Up & Sponsor" initiative! I will try to be doing these monthly, to both join in on the Power Up day festivities but also to add my own flavor to it that I think would be great if more could join in!

These 3 have been really active lately that I've seen and I think that's great! Depressed is a new person to hive which I love supporting! I hope they learned about Hive through the water project that a group was doing in Ghana! Power Up!
I would be remiss to not join in on the power up myself! Below is me adding some more Hive Power to my total, getting me closer to that 25k Hive Power goal for the year. That's the optimistic goal. My realistic goal is 23k which I'm pretty confident I'll be able to achieve! The crazy optimistic goal is 30k but I don't know if I'll be able to accomplish that until next year lol

I’m thinking of powering up the rewards I’ve collected from my payouts so far. I see it’s Hive Power Up Day today(Have been doing some reading on it) so I suppose today is the day to do that. I’ll join the powered up club after I wake up from this not so healthy sleep I’m about to get:)
I get why people miss your presearch recommendation message now. I read it just today myself in this post. Most people probably stop reading after they sense the post itself has ended.
Edit: I just read the linked post about @steembasicincome. I’m having a bit of a hard time understanding how it works especially about the shares part. Do you have a separate post solely on it?(You’re probably going to have to dig through so many months worth of posts to get me a link even if you do, so if it won’t be too much of a hassle, you could just explain it to me here?:)
Each unit of Hive SBI represents 1 HP that is dedicated to supporting your content. It earns pending value regularly, and when your pending value is high enough, you get an upvote. Having more units increases your upvote frequency until you have enough that you get upvotes on each post. After that, more units will increase your upvote size instead.
You do not have to post daily or any pre-established frequency; the pending value reward system allows your upvotes to respond dynamically to changes in your behavior (e.g. you will earn the same total upvote value over an extended period regardless of your actual posting frequency).

You're welcome man! Keep up the good work. I know that starting out is challenging for sure. There are a lot of things to learn and I'm still learning things to this day! I'm glad that the SBI dudes helped you learn a bit about the program. The program is great in my opinion. It doesn't give a great return on investment for me but I think it's symbolic for me to help boost up and get some people some exposure and add up a little bit in the long run for yourself. In the end I get a bit of a reward out of it for sure which is good but I think it's something that can add up for you in the long run.
The good part too about Hive is right now the price of it is relatively cheap! It's tough to support people with the basic income stuff when Hive is 2 or 3$ per Hive lol.
I was contemplating whether to power up with the rest of the community yesterday during hpud when Hive pumped and the HBD/HIVE ratio tipped, or to wait until the ratio was 1:2 again lol. I got a few more Hive than I normally would’ve but I still powered up.

That's great! I love those organic experiences. I love dropping comments on peoples posts and I apologize if I haven't been able to keep up with all of the ones out there like yours but I do appreciate you stopping by to check mine out!
I think if we try to drop a few of those types of comments per day, like I left on Daltono, we can really keep the platform healthy and increase the positive exposure. I've known Dalton on here for a while, I found him randomly but really appreciate his content and his message. I've seen it evolve over time and I really enjoy it!

Thanks for checking it out! I love sponsoring people and it's an important thing for me. The return on investment isn't the best because it takes a while to factor into a post payout for me but I think it's a two factor thing. I don't get a lot of return for it but it's a good symbol for me to sponsor someone and give them something that will eventually pay out for them. I get a benefit from it as well so it's a good thing to do for a few reasons.
You can sponsor people all you'd like, one thing you just have to keep in mind is that it's not going to pay out well for a while. You need about 50 or so HBI for you to start to get payouts. I could be off on those numbers of course but it takes a little while to do it! I'm all about the long term stuff so I don't mind putting in the time and effort to help people later down the road.
Wow thanks for the feedback, now I've got a clearer picture of how it works, and of a truth when thinking about payout, then we must be willing to hold for a long time.
