Los 56 años de Clendys, contra todo pronóstico 🥰 [Esp-Eng]

Después de un tiempo, me encuentro nuevamente por acá. Pasa que la vida se ha vuelto quizá monótona, calculada o rutinaria y sinceramente, así ha sido cuesta arriba escribir. Sin embargo, es un momento importante y vale la pena retomar mi vida de hiver para contarles sobre los 56 de mi mamá. Sí, mi mamá: Clendys Del Valle, cumplió sus 56 años contra todo pronóstico. Y los cumplió feliz rodeada de su familia que la ama; así vale la pena vivir.

En la madrugada del 20 de abril de este año mi mami sufrió un infarto, les conté sobre esto en "la sala de un hospital", post que realicé mientras rezaba por su vida y su recuperación hace unos seis meses. Comprenderán la alegría que siento de tener a mi madre conmigo después de todo este proceso. Aún en control con cirugía cardiovascular de un hospital de altas complejidades acá en la Argentina, esperando en Dios que no pase a más de su tratamiento actual.

Ya mi madre ha retomado su vida habitual dentro de su "nueva normalidad", está de moda esta frase ¿No? Ya está incorporada a sus labores. Pues su cumpleaños realmente fue el 02 de noviembre, el pasado miércoles, y lo pasó trabajando solita (sin su familia) en la casa donde cuida a una abuelita dulce que le invitó una copa de vino y comieron un rico pastel de papas; cantaron feliz cumpleaños con un dulce y compartieron un rato agradable. Nosotras la llamamos a medianoche y estuvimos en contacto el resto del día. Más que eso no pudimos hacer.

El viernes que pudimos verla le compramos flores y algunos detalles. Y para este domingo mandamos hacer una torta deliciosa de chocolate como ella quería. Todo hecho con edulcorante, harina de almendras y demás ingredientes saludables para que ella pudiese comer con todo el gusto de una cumpleañera.

After a while, I find myself here again. It happens that life has perhaps become monotonous, calculated or routine and honestly, it has been difficult to write. However, it is an important moment and it is worthwhile to resume my winter life to tell you about my mom's 56th birthday. Yes, my mom, Clendys Del Valle, celebrated her 56th birthday against all odds. And she celebrated it happily surrounded by her loving family; that's how life is worth living.

In the early morning of April 20 of this year my mom suffered a heart attack, I told you about it in "a hospital ward", a post I made while praying for her life and recovery about six months ago. You will understand the joy I feel to have my mother with me after this whole process. She is still under control with cardiovascular surgery in a high complexity hospital here in Argentina, hoping to God that she does not go beyond her current treatment.

My mother has already resumed her usual life within her "new normality", this phrase is fashionable, isn't it? She is already back to work. Her birthday was actually November 2nd, last Wednesday, and she spent it working alone (without her family) in the house where she takes care of a sweet grandmother who invited her a glass of wine and they ate a delicious potato cake; they sang happy birthday with a sweet and shared a nice time. We called her at midnight and stayed in touch the rest of the day. We couldn't do more than that.

On the Friday that we were able to see her we bought her flowers and some gifts. And for this Sunday we had a delicious chocolate cake made just the way she wanted it. All made with sweetener, almond flour and other healthy ingredients so she could eat with all the taste of a birthday girl.

Habíamos planificado un compartir en casa, hacer un pasticho (lasaña), tomarnos algo pero hubo un cambio de planes, y no nos íbamos a detener. Nos levantamos y nos alistamos, decidimos ir a comer en una parrilla argentina. Una vez en el lugar, pedimos un par de parrillas especiales grandes con todo lo que corresponde: carne de res, cerdo, pollo, chorizo, morcilla, chinchulin y papitas fritas con cheddar panceta y verdeo que no puede faltar. Un montón de comida deliciosa para 6 adultos y dos bebés. Fuimos mi mami, mi hermana, mi marido, mi pequeña Lizzie y dos amigos con su hijito Noah. Fue una tarde linda, comimos, brindamos, comimos torta, cantamos cumple y luego fuimos a un parquecito para que los niños jugarán mientras seguíamos conversando y riendo.

We had planned to share at home, make a pasticho (lasagna), have a drink but there was a change of plans, and we were not going to stop. We got up and got ready, decided to go eat at an Argentinean grill. Once at the place, we ordered a couple of large special grills with all the fixings: beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, blood sausage, chinchulin and chips with cheddar pancetta and greens that you can't miss. A lot of delicious food for 6 adults and two babies. We were my mommy, my sister, my husband, my little Lizzie and two friends with their little boy Noah. It was a nice afternoon, we ate, toasted, ate cake, sang birthday songs and then went to a little park for the kids to play while we kept talking and laughing.

Sinceramente, no necesitamos mucho más, estuvimos juntos y mi mamá fue feliz. Después de todo, este año superó un fuerte episodio que pudo acabar con su vida pero Dios no lo quiso así y hoy celebró sus ¡56 años! Junto a sus dos hijas, su nieta y su yerno, junto a las personas que la aman.

Honestly, we didn't need much more, we were together and my mom was happy. After all, this year she overcame a strong episode that could have ended her life but God did not want it that way and today she celebrated her 56th birthday! Together with her two daughters, her granddaughter and son-in-law, together with the people who love her.
