Of all these things that I could do or say,
I could never make you meet me halfway
There is no life in clinging to what's dead-
and some things are just better left unsaid.

I'm sorry I cannot love you as you do,
But I cherish our friendship, that much is true.
I know this may hurt, but I must be sincere,
And hope that our bond won't disappear.
I value your presence, your humor, your wit,
And I'll always cherish the moments we've knit.
I hope we can move past this and remain,
As friends who can trust and love without strain.
So please understand, it's not you, it's me,
And I hope you can forgive and see,
That I still hold you dear, even if it's not in that way,

Simple and nascent words of souls that are still sensitive; they are long stories in short verses where, the possibility of seeing still exists with hope.
But, nevertheless, every opportunity dies distant in the light of the day in which the emotional energy is lived.
A beautiful way of saying that we are still present.
