Have you ever wanted an all, or almost all, rum corner for you? It is now customary for every wedding celebration that the restaurant has even a liquor corner, where guests at the party, after a day spent between food and dancing, relax with a good glass of rum and a cigar. A tradition that certainly does not belong to us and in fact in the past the rum corner never existed in similar events.

But for about ten years the influence of other traditions has also involved our holidays and it is now an event proposed everywhere. The rhum corner was designed to close the evening, when the food has become almost a nightmare and even the music has now broken the eardrums. Here there are various types of medium-level rum, it is in fact almost impossible to find distillates of a certain value, obviously it is a matter of cost and choice of products.

Generally there is always an expert taster who punctually presides over the stand and explains a little to the customers about the various rums present, trying to satisfy everyone's tastes. It is an increasingly requested moment almost exclusively by men, yesterday evening I only saw two women walk away from here with a glass in hand. I personally don't like rum, I only sip it in company and in rare moments such as the wedding party of friends and relatives.

Avete mai desiderato un angolo rhum tutto, o quasi, per voi? È oramai consuetudine ad ogni festeggiamento di matrimonio, che il ristorante disponga finun angolo liquori, dove gli invitati alla festa, dopo una giornata trascorsa tra cibo e ballo, si rilassano con un buon bicchiere di rhum ed un sigaro. Una tradizione che di certo non ci appartiene ed in passato infatti l'angolo rhum non è mai esistito in eventi simili.

Ma da una decina di anni l'influenza di altre tradizioni ha coinvolto anche le nostre feste ed ormai è un evento proposto ovunque. L'angolo rhum è stato pensato per chiudere la serata, quando il cibo è diventato quasi un incubo ed anche la musica ha ormai rotto i timpani. Qui ci sono diversi tipi di rhum di livello medio, è infatti quasi impossibile trovare distillati di un certo valore, ovviamente è una questione di costi e di scelta dei prodotti.

Generalmente vi è sempre un esperto degustatore che presiede puntualmente lo stand e spiega un po' ai clienti i vari rhum presenti, cercando di soddisfare i gusti di tutti. È un momento sempre più richiesto quasi esclusivamente da uomini, nella serata di ieri ho visto solo due donne allontanarsi da qui con un bicchiere in mano. Io personalmente non amo il rhum, lo sorseggio solo in compagnia ed in rari momenti come la festa di matrimonio di amici e parenti.
