Educar crea conciencia: día de la tortuga marina

Nuevamente por acá compartiendo una nueva actividad escolar con mi pequeña hija Aura día de la tortuga marina 🐢

Hace días la maestra envío la agenda de tareas y por situaciones inesperadas no habíamos podido realizar aquellas actividades que requieren tiempo.

Entre estás estaba está tarea la cual no solo está vinculada con las ciencias naturales sino con las artes plásticas.

Here I am again sharing a new school activity with my little daughter Aura sea turtle day 🐢.

Days ago the teacher sent the homework agenda and due to unexpected situations we had not been able to do those activities that require time.

Among these was this homework which is not only linked to natural sciences but also to plastic arts.

Comenzamos elaborando una vicera de tortuga con hojas recicladas y pintura mi hija le anexo un gorrito de fiesta para celebrar este día especial para las tortugas.

We started by making a turtle hat with recycled leaves and paint and my daughter attached a festive hat to celebrate this special day for turtles.

Ya que no solo debíamos investigar sobre las tortugas sino que debíamos realizar un títere con plástico por ser el principal objeto que daña el ecosistema marino incluyendo a las tortugas. 🐢

Since we not only had to research about turtles but we had to make a puppet with plastic because it is the main object that damages the marine ecosystem including turtles. 🐢

Para comenzar con la actividad investigamos un poco sobre las tortugas dónde aprendimos que son reptiles con caparazón que viven bajo el agua, pero que también suben a la superficie para respirar y poner sus huevos ya que son animales oviparos por lo que cavan sus nidos en la tierra para encubarlos.

Curiosamente dicen que tienen un GPS interno que las ayudan a regresar a casa es decir su lugar de origen para poner sus huevos.

To start with the activity we did some research about turtles where we learned that they are reptiles with shells that live underwater, but they also come up to the surface to breathe and lay their eggs since they are oviparous animals so they dig their nests in the ground to hide them.

Interestingly, they are said to have an internal GPS that helps them to return home to lay their eggs.

Luego organizamos todo el material para crear el títere con botella plástica la cual Aura llamo ladies plastic

Then we organized all the material to create the puppet with a plastic bottle which Aura called ladies plastic.

Ladies plastic al igual que Aura es una defensora del planeta en especial de las tortugas marinas ya que ella está conciente del daño que causa el plástico en los ecosistemas marinos y quién nos invita a no botar desechos al mar.

Ladies plastic, like Aura, is a defender of the planet, especially sea turtles, as she is aware of the damage caused by plastic in marine ecosystems and who invites us not to throw waste into the sea.

Para proteger la diversidad marina incluyendo a las tortugas quienes son afectadas por este material quienes al ser filosos pueden romper sus órganos internos y las bolsas pueden causar obstrucción intestinal impidiendo que estás se alimenten causando inanición.

To protect marine diversity including turtles who are affected by this material which, being sharp, can rupture their internal organs and the bags can cause intestinal obstruction preventing them from feeding and causing starvation.

Es importante recordar la importancia de las tortugas para la salud de los ecosistemas marinos 🐢 NO arrojar ningún objeto al mar ya que las tortugas confunden las bolsas de plástico con las medusas se las comen y mueren.

It is important to remember the importance of turtles for the health of marine ecosystems 🐢 DO NOT throw any object into the sea that turtles confuse plastic bags with jellyfish eat them and die.

Educar para crear conciencia desde temprana edad es vital 🌎🤝♻️ aprender a valorar y respetar la diversidad animal en sus diferentes ecosistemas para conservar la vida es esencial. 🌎🤝🐢

Las tortugas marinas enfrentan muchas amenazas, pero todos podemos ayudar a reducir la contaminación por plástico reciclando. 🐢🤝♻️

Educating to create awareness from an early age is vital 🌎🤝♻️ learning to value and respect animal diversity in its different ecosystems to conserve life is essential. 🌎🤝🐢
