Me, as a parent of three kids… and my wife, really don’t know what is to have an hour when we have nothing to do, and here we have 24 hours! First of all, it will be the longest 24 hours of our life. The all-day-action really speeds the things up a lot!

Our wake up time would be shifted from 6:30 to 10:30-11 AM, then comes the first dose of coffee! Maybe filter, because the day is so calm and peaceful. 11:30 AM comes the Breakfast, and after that the second coffee… maybe espresso for a bit different feeling. Having V60s all day long would be a bit boring.

What about a third coffee before we go for an afternoon nap at 1:30.

Wow… there is no one to wake us up and it is already 5 pm. Time for a coffee. It should be a quick one, because it is time for beer too! Or maybe I should take both. The espresso goes for about two minutes and the beer needs 5 more… Time for a dinner before we go to bed!

Done! 😁

Hahaha I can see it will be a very relaxed day with lots of coffee and beers. And it is true that a day without doing anything becomes longer, perhaps it is because we are more aware of time when we are at night.

A relaxing day with lots of coffee and relaxation.☕

All the coffee all the day long… at least as soon as I am awake! 😆

Death from dehydration is definitely not a threat to this person!

Having children, taking care of your family, working all year long... Really, it's difficult to find yourself in a moment where you say that you really have nothing to do. But when that day comes, I'm glad you can sleep late and count your little daily events over cups of coffee--and beer.

If you drink coffee before your nap, then you and I are on the same team of hopeless coffeeholics 😁

Have the best year, my friend!

I can drink coffee and go straight to bed afterwards. 🤷🏻

The kids really don’t leave us with a free minute, so a free day will be a dream come true for us! 😁

My husband and I have coffee before napping and a couple of hours before going to bed, which happens late, almost at midnight. It's a matter of lifestyle, I guess. Having kids demands several cups of coffee a day, haha. I have an only son, and he's a young man in his mid twenties already, but I remember those days when he was little. Oh, I remember! And there's adolescence after that, my friend. You'll be needing a bigger cup--which is good because you can send me that cat cup, hahaha

I am sure that I will need several cups of whiskey when adolescence of my three kids comes… but, I guess it will all be for good 😁

Irish coffee! Hahaha.

I'll let you think whiskey will spare you the torture, hahaha. I'm just kidding, but adolescence is a nightmare indeed. After that, they turn into angels. Your kids will be fine, I'm sure. Can't say the same about you and your wife... I'm being evil, haha. Just kidding, my friend 😁

Being a mum, working outside and at home, have made me remember to take time for myself, ☺️⏱️ so as much as possible I try to find a few minutes each day, ☕ accompanied by coffee and any other complement that allows me to relax my life... Christmas time is over 🎄 and with it the holidays so enjoyed ... Today, January 6th, King's Day 👑👑👑👑, I've had a total of 16 cups of coffee so far this year ☕ ♨️ and with them a lot of wonderful moments... ⏱️☺️☕

How difficult it is to visualize ourselves with extra time and even more, with nothing pending to do. Cheers! ☕️ 🍺

Being a parent of little kiddos is always very time consuming and I can understand you entirely! Coffee is always enjoyed in the free time and not only… sometimes you need your dose of caffeine between the endless tasks.

Wish you a happy 2024!

Being a mum and working outside is complicated, as we often have to sacrifice our time. I'm glad you're finding time for yourself, and for the cups of coffee you give yourself! Jaja ☕

Being a mother is a 24-hour job, 7 days a week, and 365 days of rest are almost a miracle, so enjoy those days to the fullest.

Rest with an exquisite cup of coffee.☕

You have counted the cups of coffee you've had this year! Haha. That's so funny. I lost count of mine; I'd wish I had done that. I was busy making Kings' Bread, not for the Three Kings but for my sisters, LOL. We celebrated a day after. Crazy 2023 is still taking its toll on us, I guess.

Mom needs to relax, so good for you ❤️

The idea of having 24 hours with nothing to do is really wonderful haha, sometimes I wish so much that the days had more than 24, because I don't have enough time in the day for everything I want to do, and when you have a small child at home it's even more difficult.

I like the idea of having 24 hours of rest, if that were possible I would take things more calmly, without having to worry about schedules. I would allow myself to get up late in the morning, I would put my coffee pot on and enjoy it to the fullest. A coffee with a touch of cinnamon would be perfect, don't you think?

It seems very good to me to be able to enjoy the day, without stress or worries and dedicate it only to oneself, many times we deserve a day to disconnect from the world.

A Sunday of rest and lots of coffee☕

Once in a while, I put a little cinnamon stick and cane honey in my black coffee. And you're right, it's like a relaxing coffee, hehe.

May this year bring you more time to rest, my friend! ❤️

Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.

A new conversation has been opened to get to know each other better. Today we will talk about what we would like to do if we had a day of doing nothing, how we would spend it.

As some of you already know my passion is writing, and I've had days off where I use it to write letters, discover styles, experiment and an endless number of literary follies that flow in those moments of inspiring clarity. Something I also do when I have these days off is to give shape to a novel that seems to take me a lifetime, hahaha...

I leave you a picture of my old notebook where I write little things, when I get tired of sitting at the computer screen.

I hope to keep reading you in the comments.

A great way to spend your days off and do something beneficial as you are just easing the day. Happy new year!

A writer's heart needs coffee. I love writing sonnets, but just now I realize that I don't write them in my spare time, but when I'm most busy. I guess writing them helps me regain my sanity, hehe.

I love your green cup! 💚

Thanks for your kind words. And if we have everything to publish the novel, I hope I can share it with you so you can read it.

Happy new week.

Hi, coffee lovers!

May this new year be great for you and your loved ones!

On a (real) day off? That's easy: coffee and Scrabble with my sisters. Then coffee and movies with my husband. If my son were living here in the country, he'd join us, and he would choose the menu (I'm sure it'd be lemon cream cake, lasagna, and spicy snacks).

image.png

I usually have everything ready a day before. This time we didn't meet on the 6th, Three Kings Day, but on the 7th (yesterday). To go with our cashew milk mocha, I baked banana and apple cake and roscón de reyes (King's Cake, which is actually bread); I also made pea soup for lunch. The rest was enjoying our Scrabble time.

image.png

This is what I choose to do on a day off without a second thought; only a day at the beach beats it--but we don't go to the beach on holidays because it's crowded.

I have a friend who loves to play Scrabble, I have never played it but it looks very entertaining. You had a great day, I'm happy for you.

You're so kind 🥰

Playing Scrabble is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I miss my son for this--and everything else.

I hope you can play it soon. Perhaps you'll become addicted to it, like us here!

As I can judge by the details in the photo above, you've filled the day (at least partly) with some intellectual games? That was wise! Respect. 👍

You guessed right! We were playing Scrabble. We love it and will play it always we can. My husband is not with me on that one, but he's totally with me for binge watching. Last week, we spent two afternoons and evenings watching Liebes Kind and then Beef. Both recommended! My eyes must rest now.

I'd love to count coffee cups of the coffee I took, and surely would take a pic of that dirty unwashed cups pile. Would that be paraphernalia enough? 🙃 Although since I dont have such a pic - theres nothing to share :P

It'd be beautiful to see only through your lens, my dear friend, haha, because you're such a talented photographer. If I see that in my kitchen, all my OCDs would come to play!
